Bruno Fernandes looks alright, proper two footed and kicks them harder than John Arne. I read an article about him yesterday said his feet are like tractor engines <laugh>

Wouldn't have thought so in regards of LB cover sice don't think any of us are expecting a big name to come in just to cover Robbo just someone who actually plays that position and therefore i wouldn't expect the fee to be that high .

The game I watched him play RB he was so adventurous he made Moreno look reticent. Any further forward and he'd have been sitting in the stands, so a bit impetuous I thought. He could learn a little discipline, I suppose, but I thought that about Bert too.

    OPINION

Liverpool enjoyed their best season in years under Jurgen Klopp but would still have been disappointed to miss out on the Premier League title. Manchester City pipped them to top spot by only one point after the Reds only lost a single game against the eventual title winners. After winning the Champions League at the beginning of June, attention turned to the transfer window, with Liverpool certainly needing reinforcements to strengthen their squad depth. The Mirror correspondent David Maddock revealed that he expected Liverpool to stick to youth signings this summer, with the small chance they could look to add a winger for around £20million. This will no doubt have come as a shock to many fans, who would have expected their side to strengthen much more than that. Fans of Liverpool took to Twitter to respond to Maddock’s claims by voicing their concerns over the reported plans of Klopp and the Reds. One fan said: “Club will be going backwards! I can see similar to what happened with Rafa after he won the Champions League.” While another jumped to next season and predicted disappointing by adding: “Kiss goodbye to the title.”

Naby Keita is injured and he is going to miss the rest of ACON games.

Barcelona have reportedly told interested suitors that they would have to pay a whopping £360million to sign Ousmane Dembele this summer.
Liverpool have been linked with Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech, who is said to have a €30 million release clause in his contract – a figure that has attracted multiple clubs across Europe.
However, according to reports in Italy, as cited on Inside Futbol, Ajax do not include release clause into player’s contract as a club policy.

I think some of these youngsters are poorly advised. It's what we were 'worrying' over with the De Ligt boy. Money or a real chance to become a great player, fan favourite and all that.

I think the difference is De Ligt has already played a high level of football and will probably go straight into the PSG team, Thiago Silva is getting close to retirement.
I think PSG is a fairly safe option as well. They're a bigger club than Ajax and the French league is slightly better than the Dutch, so the step he's making is up but not a huge step up.
Whilst I'd like him to come to Liverpool, he's a 19yr old and would be stepping into the most demanding league in the World. Imagine what would happen if he made a few mistakes, would he recover?

In a few years time he'd still be young enough to make the move to the Prem or to Barca, Real etc if he progresses well.

Odegaard made a huge mistake. Hadn't played a high level, wasn't going to get into the Real fist team, was likely to languish with Castilla or go out on loan indefinitely.
Its like the kids who go to Chelsea or City. These clubs don't have a tradition of encouraging young players, where success is bought rather than built and the demands to be successful are too high to risk using young players.
Why wait of your academy players when you can just go out and buy someone ready made.

for me it's hard to know if de ligt will pick the eight club but odegard picked based on a private jet and the good life.

I can see him being a free transfer at 22.

I agree with everything you say here.

For me it still comes down to bad advice. Odengaard (spl) maybe had stars in his eyes rather than £ signs but the end result is the same, it was the wrong move.

It sounds a bit mad to say it but he looks like he's given up his career for the money. Granted they want the money but surely they'd want a great career as well as money.

Yes you're probably right. I would still like to see these young lads getting better advice. Apart from anything else it would be better for football.
