Racing today comes from BEVERLEY, YARMOUTH, SANDOWN, KEMPTON and LISTOWEL

A few for me from my GG alert list

FIRST PHASE 3.10 BEV, 16/1. Was given this after its 1st run and told to back it on family day at York where it was tried in far too high class of race. Now back to where it was beaten a short head on debut and back down in class, I will give it an each way chance, one problem though, its debut was on gd/sft ground, today gd/fm!!

SECRET EDGE 8.40 KEMP, 5/2. Won well last time out, more to come, (me thinks), and f/c price 5/4, it has opened up 5/2 (365) so i'm having some of that!!

LAY TIME 4.05 SAND, 5/1. Went in the notebook after its 1st run last October, then ran in a 7f Newmarket maiden and won, (gd/sft), then went back to Newmarket 7f and came a fast finishing 2nd, (gd/fm). Then was upped in class to a listed race on soft ground and ran ok to finish 4th, behind Theyskins Theory. Tries listed company again, (good ground), and although has a hard task to beat King Torus, I fancy her chances, if she drifts a bit then maybe an e/w saver.

GROOMED 5.10 SAND, 3/1. Went in the notebook after last run, a CD win and was only raised 4lb, more to come I suspect, from an in form stable.

    Good luck all

    Right, lets see your winners!!

Morning Yorkies we'd better not mention football today :(

    4.10 Listowel Muirhead

High class hurdler who just creeps into the handicap off 10 stone 1 (off a mark of 132 - 20lbs below his current hurdle rating). I was very excited about him going novice chasing last season but after opening his account in a beginners chase over 2m4f on good at Punchestown he found things much tougher next time at Cork in a Grade 3 Novice Chase on heavy, beaten 13 lengths 5th behind Back Of The Pack. Noel Meade has given him a good rest over the winter and mixed thing up between hurdles and fences over 3 runs this summer. After a pipe-opener behind Captain Cee Bee over hurdles he tried his furthest trip to date in a 2m6f chase, finishing a staying-on 3rd behind Sarteano and his last run ended with victory in a 2m4f hurdle race where he stayed on well to win.

He is obviously doing well at home for Noel Meade to pitch him into a race like this and I believe he can hunt round for the first 2 miles before coming under a typically patient Carberry ride to get involved at the business end of the race.

    Best of luck everyone <ok>

    Text in from Willie

"Listen Dano, sorry about yesterday but, and its not an excuse, AP cupped a pump and got Ruby just before the off, gezz that boy stinks Ruby saw double for most of the race, any how today, Call Me Bubbles (but not in public) makes his debut in the 7f maiden. He is a nice well bred colt with stamina in his pedigree. We are hopeful he will give a good account of himself but we are not sure how he will handle the soft ground. Rattan goes for the 2m 4f novice hurdle. He has a difficult task in this hot contest but we are hoping that he might show improvement on this ground i know Oddy has highlighted Muirhead and he could be on to something so its up to you, Hopefully, he will at least reach a place. We run three in the Kerry National. Scotsirish has it all to do with top weight and the trip and ground are not ideal. We would be happy if he gets into the money. It would be great if Blazing Tempo could complete the Galway Plate/Kerry National double but this hasn't been done since Life Of A Lord won both events in 1995. She has been in good form at home as you know since Galway but this is her first time tackling this trip. Also, she would prefer better ground. Uncle Junior has a lovely racing weight and has been working well at home. However, this is not his preferred ground. I know you and Oddy worship the smell of my ****e and today is the day i pay you back for your loyaltiy this is it, Local Celebrity runs in the bumper. Being by Bach, he may not like the ground here but, if he handles it, his form is good enough to give him an excellent chance of opening his account and get you 2 whingers off me back, stay frosty Dano see ya soon"

Its on me phone if ya dont believe me

Yorkies I'm hoping that was a "flash in the pan", one-off thing a bit like Man U 8-0 Arsenal. Need to get it back on track next game <ok>

    Good morning all!
I feel Bideford Legend would have an outstanding chance in the Kerry National- he hacked up at Killarney followed by two runs over hurdles to keep his mark.
The outsider I'm interested in is Foster's Cross- he was a decent novice hurdler two years ago and then won his first novice chase before cantering(and then falling) in his next behind Tataniano. Two or three subsequent chasing efforts have been unsuccessful- and he's run mainly over hurdles, and won a few flat races. Probably his jumping is suspect, but if his good claimer, O'Farrell, can work the oracle with him, his price of 20/1 could be very attractive of his lowly mark.

LG I like her but she is up against some good Group class horses and I wonder if Sandown over a mile is what she really needs. I thought she was a shade big last night at 6s but I wasn't tempted to back her. She can win, but I think others have a stronger chance.

I am very tempted to have a dabble on Gentleman's Deal tonight at 33/1 because I think he is a much better animal than he has shown so far this season and is now dropping to very eyecatching marks. So tempting.
