Well you did in not so many words, by saying he'd rather stay at Rangers than take the Newcastle job. If Gerrard as ever to achieve anything, and even have a chance in hell of the Liverpool job in future, then he needs to up his game and play in a serious league, rather than wasting his time in a mickey mouse league, where 90% of the teams are the standard of the English non league.
That still doesn't equate to what I said though, does it? You seem a reasonably intelligent person, give or take the intelligence part of it. So I shall say it again, as I really don't think you are getting it, almost as if you have blinkers on(that is in no way a pun in relation to the guy who punched the horse). I get that Scottish football isn't great but not nearly as bad as you claim. Of course in an ideal world, he would rather be managing a team in the PL and playing against Man City et al as opposed to Ross County et al, but the fact of the matter is that he is in his first year going on second year of management. He knows that Klopp will be at Liverpool until at least 2021, so why would he go to a basket case club like Newcastle? In fact, I would say that Bournemouth or Norwich would be a more attractive proposition than Newcastle are just now. And to say he has no chance to get Liverpool job just by being at Rangers is daft. It has already been established that managers get top jobs at top jobs with no experience at all. Again, look at Lampard, if indeed he does get the Chelsea job.
In what way? Pressure wise? European football wise? 50,000 people needing you to win every game wise? Please expand on that. I do realise that the Championship is very competitive before you say that though. But to say being the manager of Rangers is easier than manager of Derby is ****ing ludicrous.
Tougher league mate it's more competitive. It's easy to do well at rangers and Celtic you cant fail mate. I'm not saying rangers aren't a big club historically, but in football that means absolutely nothing these days .... money its dictated by pay cheques
What a bizarre thing to say. Bournemouth have done well recent but they are a tiny club, there attendence is about 12,000. Norwich are slightly larger but still a tiny club compared to Newcastle. Whether you like it or not, and regardless of Ashley, Newcastle manager is still a huge role, and would be a massive leap from his job at Rangers, and a far bigger job than Bournemouth or Norwich. Calling us a basket case club is irrelevant, this is not the chaos that happened last time Keegan left, as it is right at the start of the summer and there's time for him to establish himself. The only challenging team Gerrard faces in Scotland is Celtic, the fact you rated Vuckic up there and he couldn't get off the Rotherham bench tells you all you need to know. Gerrard ain't gonna get the Liverpool job any time soon, and if he has any ambition as a manager he'll need to up his game, and rotting away at Rangers isn't doing this. For the record you're welcome to him BTW and I hope we don't get him.
Which I already said, but the likes of Millwall don't see playing Derby like their cup final, like every Scottish team do playing us. Also, I suppose the 14 games we had in Europe were against donkeys too? Rapid Vienna, Villarreal et al? Yeah away to Barnsley must have been a right nightmare for Derby.
The fact Pukki couldn't score in a brothel in Scotland abd was Championship player of the season and will be playing PL football next season also speaks volumes.
Ffs the only European trophey you have won isn't even recognised by UEFA. How you mob beat our reserve team in the semi final, I shall never know.
