bollocks. I just paid for a cheap, non-refundable train ticket to take advantage of an offer that required booking >1 month ahead. outwards is fine (more pub time) but now I need to persuade the train company to be magnaminous and change the return.

Quite annoyed about the fact its 5.30pm... as i was going to be going on coach which takes long enough anyway! if we were to get battered it would be a long and lonely trip back

    This is very poor.

Brighton may well argue that they are still getting to grips with day-to-day operational issues associated with their new stadium, but surely this sodding University Open Day was arranged months ago and therefore should have been flagged up to the Football League when the fixtures were being drawn up back in June/July.

Myself and several other North West based Tigers recently purchased non-refundable advance train tickets which are no use to us now, unless we fancy doing a 10 hour round trip for the privilege of watching 45 minutes of football. Even if we did have the spare cash available to shell out again for replacement train tickets, it wouldn't be possible for us to get there and back in a day since the last train back is at 7pm so we'd need to do an overnight stay. I understand that the same applies to fans wishing to travel by train from Hull - the last train back is at 6.30.

From a football club that seem to be darlings of the media at the present time who can do no wrong, these are very shortsighted, amateurish antics from Brighton in my opinion. What a load of dog poo.

F.F.S. echo every comment in this message. Train tickets bought weeks ago. Getting there (easy enough) and although I'm stopping off in London it now means the return ticket is gash and I have to decide about City over a mates re-union.

The fixtures were anounced in flaming July.

Was thinking about this one, glad I didn't book anything like some unfortunate others have already.

Managing director Ken Brown commented; "The University of Brighton has a long-arranged open day and the change is unavoidable. The switch has the least impact on all concerned."

Yeah, apart from Hull City fans who have had things booked already. :emoticon-0120-doh:

Reminds me of the last time we played at Brighton, Had to be changed from a Saturday at 3pm to a 7.45pm Friday night because they were using the car park at the running track ground for christmas shopping (I kid you not) What is it about Brighton and car parks. Dogging!!! ... Actually, this might work out okay. Now leave home at 8.30am instead of 6.00am. Seven hours to get there for 3.30pm. Game finishes at what 7.30pm. Seven hours to get home. Do able.

Brighton fans are already saying that the new stadium has shown up the management as amateurs. Massive delays in and out of the stadium pre/post match.

Parking not good enough, not enough park and ride buses, ridiculous queuing but at least the berr is good (Harvey's).
