A very good morning Leeds fans, hope all is well. Must admit I'm feeling pretty damn good about the signing of Mika Väyrynen; obviously only time will tell whether it will work out or not. All we need now is a right back (bring back Lichaj) and a big strapping centre back. Thought I would add a little something different today. Most of us have probably read the book 'Paint it white by Gary Edwards, the story of the exploits of what must be the biggest Leeds fan in the world. This is a small paragraph from his book involving his friend John, its hilarious !!!! The Leeds fan (John) was a goods delivery driver, and went into the old trafford souvenir shop just after we won the league in 92. 'Good morning, love,' he said to the girl behind the counter. 'Have you got a scarf with champions 92 on it, please?' She looked at him rather perplexed and said, 'Er, no. Sorry.' John put on a brave face. 'Oh, never mind. I'll have a cap with champions 92 on it instead then, please!' 'I'm sorry, sir,' explained the girl, 'we haven't got one of those either.' John wasn't about to give up. 'Then I'll have pennant with champions 92 on it.' 'Surely you've got one of those?' The girl was close to losing her temper. John thought for a moment and looked around the shop. 'So you haven't got anything with champions 92 on it?' 'No sir.' 'Why not?' 'Because', the girl sighed, 'we didn't win the league!' With that John bent down in front of the counter, out of sight of the girl. He then sprang up, wearing his Leeds hat. 'No, Love - we did!' I don't really member the Stones, first time I heard the tune, it was on a tv drama called 'Tour of Duty' about squaddies in vietnam, fab program, fab lyrics. Cosmic, you should read 'Paint it white', its amazing. Has anyone here met Gary Edwards???

Morning all. Fine song, fine story. Prefer Black night by Deep Purple, or to sum up the approaches of some Leeds fans to anything Papa Smurf of SG do, Paranoid by Sabbath. Anyway moving on. Will be interesting to see where Väyrynen fits in. Who will drop, or will he cover Clayton? Alternatively, will Howson be looking over his shoulder? Either way, all we need now is for Becchio to be fit & for the defence to do what they're being paid for, & we should start to charge up the league. MOT
I saw the Stones in 82 in Slane, just outside Dublin and I've met G.Eds a few times, once in the beer garden of the Peacock where a photo was taken of us with an inflatable cock...lol It was only when I got home and developed the pics that I realise what I was hugging, I felt such a dick..

Going to Edinburgh for 3 days 27th-29th with LIW You never know, I might do people a favour and kill him during that period but you never know Next time you will be firing on all cylinders although I was surprised at how quiet Salters was. I’m gonna look at going somewhere else I think for a bit cos things have gotten stale down there. Might go to pub round corner from mine, The Dragon for a few games
