On the footballing sides makes us weaker yet if we get in a manager say on a £1M a year contract who can keep us up (considering that is all Rafa has done) then we are better off financially and to prospective owners or the new owners fancy a new manager (Heard a rumour that Arteta was wanted by BZG a couple of weeks ago)
To be fair we are trying to sell him to a club posing as a football club when in reality they are an abbatoir.
Rafa, prob created the best defence i have seen at nufc, out of next to nothing. which i never though i would ever see lol.( seen some bad ones) Also , thought he was starting to get the best out of perez . where others would not be;live or give the chance.
Rafa, prob created the best defence i have seen at nufc, out of next to nothing. I agree, but then, he played 7 at the back!
Best and relatively speaking the best defence for me was Keegan’s Entertainers with Sir Bob’s defence not far behind.
Agree with this. We are more attractive to potential buyers as they now have the option of appointing their own choice of manager, whether it be Rafa or someone else. If the takeover is really on and Ashley has accepted a price then we cannot sell players as they are part of the club assets. I am sure they would make an exception for Joselu though.
I think a fair few would agree with you mate. If the takeover does fall through and we're lumbered with him and if falling down a division or two gets shot of him once and for all then i'd happily take the hit....it's a means to an end. We might bump into our 6 fingered neighbours along the way which would be a nice little brucie bonus I guess He'll not wanna keep hold of it for long if we're in the championship, or dare I say it....the Turd Division.

Mike Ashley does this it's his aim ... you build a side and cash in on at the right time ....then build another and cash in ... this is why I day we will sell our best players and relegated but that's exactly what we do... he risks relegation while rebuilding ....
When selling a business one of the general rules is to present your assets in good condition. Good job we no longer have HBA or the sale would already be off.
Agreed. Ashley has, by losing Rafa guaranteed relegation and a depreciation of that asset by around 1/3. Great work Mike.
First 3 I can live with but was never a great fan of Frankie Clark. Still remember the St James' Park crowd singing "hang your boots up" to Frankie Clark towards the end of his time with us when he was having a particularly bad game. I know he did go on to better things but I still wasn't a great fan of his.
