Do you think he'll get given time if he cannot get top 4 at least?

With the transfer ban, yes. There's been a bit of a change with a few ex players being recruited for different jobs. Let's wait and see. Try and contain yourself mate. <laugh>

I'm quite calm about it which is nice, if you appeal the transfer ban then different situation.

We've appealed it. Not too hopeful.

Me either, there seems an awful lot of times we broke the rules, 29 wasn’t it???
I also feel this is probably the only way any manager will get to actually rebuild and not be forced to include the owners overpriced buys into the team.

  8. In all seriousness, lads, if there is any Chav among you who truly loves Lamps, you cannot be wishing this appointment on him, especially so early on in his career.

The manager's job at CFC is, by far and away, the most poisoned chalice in World football. It is foolhardy, and arrogant in the extreme, for anyone to believe that he can make any kind of lasting impression at your club.

Yet each one of the last 4 managers to take up "Roman's Poison chalice Challenge" have won more trophies in their Chelsea tenure than Pochettino has in his entire career.

We'll see.......Maybe he's the long term manager the club needs.

  13. ...and it did them absolutely no favours.

That's exactly the point I'm making. Your managers get sacked even when they win things.

What chance does a rookie, like Lampo, stand?

And? We win trophies, manager gets sacked, new manager comes in, we win more trophies......and on and on.

    Compared to:

Same manager, won **** all, keep manager, still win **** all, and then win **** all, and **** all......same manager though......**** all yet again......

Lampard will still be a Chelsea legend, whether he lasts 6 years or 6 months, as manager,

He might not win anything, which will put him on Poch's level, but with a lot less time as a manager.<ok>

  20. I actually like Lamps. He's always been fair with his comments about Spurs. And he comes across as a really decent bloke, which matches the professionalism he showed as a player.

I think he should develop his career before making the move to CFC.
