I'm lucky in that the things that really give me gout are not the things I really love (beer) fruit is my biggest trigger and too much seafood can set it off.

    Lager/beer/stout/guinness all vile

Cider the drink of choice, Thatchers gold probably the best. Strongbow comfortably the worst

Between the different ciders? I would disagree, but then I would say the same about basically every lager I have ever tried, IPA etc so guess it just depends on how educated you are on the drink.

I remember walking into my uni halls bar when I first got there and asked for a pint of Blackthorn and they looked at me like I was speaking a different language. After some arm waving I finally got it across I wanted cider "oh yeah we got that, Stongbow or Magners". I was tempted to drop out after my first week

Don't mind Stowford, becomes a bit acidic after a few though. Symonds the worst for that though, literally feels like you are drinking acid after a pint and a half.

There are lots of good/great ciders around so it is why it always surprises me how popular Strongbow is around the country, I do live in cider hotspot though so am probably spoilt for choice.

I’m not a big cider drinker - maybe on a very hot day in summer, but Aspall’s is one of the best I’ve tasted. Top stuff.

I go down an old railway track from Hull about 8 miles on bike and the pub used to sell aspall .
They've bloody changed it to Stowford.

Watch out on the Rattler though, proper ****s you up. Drank about 10 of them in cornwall once and woke up in a sand dune 50m from my hotel.

I had been in the hotel bar most of the evening so **** knows how I ended up where I woke up

One of the boozers down at Spurs were selling cans - yes cans! - of Stowford on a matchday for £4.50 while pints of beer/ cider were going for £5.50. Since the new stadium opening, it’s been well documented that they’re losing out on loads of business as the new stadium is selling most pints for £4.
