If no takeover is happening then I am almost 100% sure we will see either Monk or Moyes as the manager. I think we will be relegation candidates next year, for sure. Hopefully the finances come in. I still have hope that things take time and it's happening, we will see.

Cue an over dramatic response from the fans. The club will survive without him like it always has whenever a useful employee has left. Id' suggest our fans get a grip but its a waste of time because it never happens. It always turns into a soap opera. In terms of why talks have broken down who knows. If I had to guess I think its simply a case of Newcastle United not being capable of fulfilling Rafa's ambitions. Quite simply the club, looking at the accounts of recent years, simply doesn't have the money. The only way around that is personal money being pumped in, spending on the never never or a takeover. Rafa knew when he signed the contract personal money and spending on the never never won't happen so he can't really complain about it. He perhaps hoped either a takeover would materialise or there would be some change in our financial situation. Neither appears to be the case so I guess its just one of those where the stars won't align.
