I'm expecting 'Lamps' to get the job this week Here's a thread to track his decline and eventual sack at Money Laundering FC
Think it is actually a pretty smart move by Chelsea. He is obviously a club legend and this season is definitely going to be a struggle with the transfer ban and no Hazard. You would think the fans wouldn't be as quick to start booing and being ****s to someone like Lampard compared to a random manager. If he turns out to be a flop (which basically means finishing 6th as they are still better than the rest of the **** in the league) then they can write the season off and say it was too early for him in his managerial career and then appoint someone else when the ban is lifted. Then there is the possibility that he actually is a good manager and does well and then they have a club legend in charge for a bit which fans love.
Yeah he will definitely get sacked at some point. They don't tend to stick with managers too long, even if they win stuff. Sign of a truly succesful team, none of this hailing some bloke who has won nothing as the best ever.
supported Southampton all your life but you don't love them or have any heroes please log in to view this image
Don’t think the fans will turn on him, but expectations will far exceed what even the most experienced manager could hope to achieve with the resources at his disposal. And he’s not the most experienced manager. I actually wish him well. But I don’t see it turning out too well at all.
Not talking about you Archie...you don't measure your affection for your club based on trophy haul alone like Magic man does
Credit to the little number two who never passed up the opportunity to jump on Le Tiss's back and try to shag him.
Frannie Benali mate. Saints legend, who never let his lack of talent hold him back. You wouldn’t understand if I tried to explain it to you.
I'm sure I remember being on the pitch n seeing them wave one around in the stands. I may have had a few that day though...
