Little Ollie Has Blown His Bolt

Discussion in 'The Premier League' started by Hoddle is a god, Mar 10, 2019.

  1. Only a very small handful of videos get posted from the scores of gigs we play, and they tend to get filmed at the ones where the crowds are not as packed at the front of house. Those that have been posted are generally not representative of what we mainly play or the crowds that we generally play to, especially in the more cramped pubs, where there is hardly any elbow room.

We pack more pubs ad clubs than most bands on our (large) circuit, which is why we have got repeat bookings for the past seven years.

Piskie critiquing Kippers music like he’s Simon Cowell ffs, yeah Kipps put some African spice in your rock music mate that’ll blow the roof off the Dog & Handgun, you’ll have the locals begging for more if you throw in a little vuvuzela and pretend you’ve not had a meal for 6 months.

As you were HIAG, haters gon hate.

<laugh> I'm not suggesting he puts any of that in his music.

I'd be heartbroken if he went and murdered some of those popular Bedouin hits.

Fair play to yer HiaG, that's certainly far better than the other shhite I've seen. I don't know much about drums, but it always seems he's holding it all together in all your performances. The singer you defo need to get rid of mate, he is not going to improve, but I guess he's a mate and it's not going to happen. Yeah but kudos to you and the drummer in that one, I enjoyed it when the singer was er.....silent.

  11. Daz hadn't been in the band for long at that point. He has improved his technique substantially.

Piskie is dying to join the band as a triangle player.

The band are too tame, they need an edge. My triangle playing could take them to the next level.

Yep HIAG's a competent guitar player. The other members can all play okay too. The singer is dreadful, but as somebody said, he's a mate, so they can't really ditch him and it's not like they are going to play big gigs so they don't need to upset him and get rid.

Their stuff really isn't my cup of tea whatsoever, I'm not a fan of rock music in general and I find listening to covers bands dreary as hell. None of that is meant as a slight on HIAG though.

I love it. There's a real buzz from playing live. The first band I played in was a Ska band, which I joined when their bass player suddenly left. I had to learn 22 songs in the space of a couple of months before playing a headline slot at a local festival. I studied those songs like a muthafucker to ensure that I didn't **** up on stage. It was a really good exercise for me.

I'd agree with your last bit normally, but listening to anyone playing live, anything that has a bit of skill on a guitar and drums I can appreciate and find enjoyable.
