I love when someone comes out with these random old sayings. This one reminds me of my late dad who always used that saying as he was off to get his hair cut

That’s it’s meaning mate, or certainly what I meant by it. Not sure of its origins, I assumed it was universal but patently not <laugh>

It's certainly used as reference to haircuts around here, although TBF is mainly the older generation that I hear saying it.
Another favourite of mine, which my dad used, is "up the wooden hill"

Up the apples and pears was one in my family even though they all hailed from Lancashire ...

One very local to the East Mids is 'mardy' usually accompanied by 'arse' ...

Missus family always encourages the kids to "strain the greens" before a journey.

When we were kids and it was time for bed, the old man would say "come on, up the wooden hill".
My family had links the the east end, so I'm guessing some of his old sayings are bastardised cockney slang?

I don’t think that one is cockney in origin, I think they’re just ‘old skool’ sayings that have been passed on, my guess for that one would be, middle class and early C20th.

Just cashed out on all my Bitcoin.... good move or not? time will tell but they're high on about 8.5k per Bitcoin at the moment.

Good accidental investment though as I've quadrupled my original outlay.

Still kicking myself as I remember when they were £3 a coin and in 2017 they went up to 19k per coin. Mad.

You may have cashed out a bit early but better than waiting until its over the peak:

Great TV, why Meadows isn't a huge figure in TV and film is beyond me.
