Id be sure McLaren are clever enough to know what skills they need to recruit to be beneficial to them, im sure they will be fine.

I'm pretty nonplussed by this one; it does seem odd on the surface but Ron moves in mysterious ways.

I think Lewis and Jenson will be encouraging Sebastian to move to Ferrari in 2012 so they can swoop in a Red Bull lol. Im only joking, hes not being appointed technical director...phew.

The position he is filling has been empty since Australia 2009 which for a top team seems very odd. no wonder they make fundamental flaws

And what exactly does a "sporting director" do? Doesn't sound very important does it :/

By trackside operations, does this mean McLaren have had no one in charge of this for two years?! Well, that would explain a lot of their errors. I don't know, it all sounds pretty vague from the BBC; it has become something of a speciality for them recently vis-à-vis F1. Maybe they're just giving us extended highlights of his job description. What does Sky say? ;)

he's not that bad. Some cars he's been involved with have been pretty good. I'm sure he did the early 00's williams cars. They were pretty quick.

Um... no thanks? I guess he's not involved in the car right now...

And maybe we'll get a better gearbox?
