Just because you were a squaddie in Iraq mate, it doesn’t make you a expert on the political / religious factions at play here.

Go and do your research on the Shia Muslims loyal to Iran in Syria, Afghanistan, insurgents in Yemen, Hezbollah in Lebanon. Then you’ll understand how US troops would be attacked from all angles.

 

So just how would these countries help Iran?

Factions within countries mate. Shia Muslims, insurgents, Hezbollah and those loyal to those causes.

They would attack US bases and troops in places like Saudi, Qatar, UAE, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. Iran itself would probably shut down the oil routes through the straight of Hormuz. And don’t forget, Iran also has a well equipped Navy as well as close to 1m service personnel.

This wouldn’t be some ‘shock and awe’ disposition of Sadam like it was in Iraq

 

Maybe he thinks mad Don will send in the cast of full jacket jacket.

 

Huthi rebels are not though. They have a constant supply of arms and could attack US bases in Saudi.

Hezbollah in Lebanon could easily attack US bases and would probably more likely attack Israel.

It would be a **** show. Dragging loads of factions into a conflict.

There's no fcking war being planned

The whole thing is being manoeuvred for an air strike, probably at Iran's nuclear facilities. A safe option. What does Iran do in response? Escalate to war? No fcking chance. Iran will then have to do what it always does and that's retaliate through clandestine actions in proxy countries and territory.

This has all happened before it's fcking tiresome. Raise propaganda and carefully orchestrated events to show some middle-eastern country to be trouble-makers, try to garner public opinion through mass media blanket bullshit. Then carry out military strikes and expect nobody to do anything, and even better, actually defend you as the the victim.
