I hate all Spuds as a matter of principle..... However Hoddle Is A God seems a decent poster & does in general seem to enjoy genuine debate as opposed to Wummery
Where's the fun is debating a topic only with people who agree with your (blinkered) point of view? "We played great, didn't we?" "Yeah, we were brilliant!" "There's nothing wrong with our team is there?" "Not that I can see, mate. We're all brilliant!" "Brilliant, yeah!" "Yeah." There you go. I've saved you all the bother of having to "debate" this topic
"in general" maybe, but not this time. Now go and play with Cwm and leave us alone to trade insults!!!
Alternatively, Arsenal defended really well and restricted Dortmund, Chesney barely had a difficult save to make all game.
Thank you, Mr SupaMcGooner! It may surprise some of your number but I actually don't want your team to be weakened. I don't want the hollow victory of finishing above a weakened and demoralised Arsenal side, I want us to finish above a strong Arsenal side, to prove to everyone that we have improved. Yes, we are rivals, and we should have the banter that good rivals engage in, but I don't wish anything bad to you or your team.
Go back and read the posts before your Wum and tell me where we were guilty of wishful thinking, delusion or any other such a thing. All I see is people saying a draw was a good result for us; that we will be better when our main midfield creator returns and that the Germans owned our midfield tonight. You are clearly wearing the same dodgey glasses you wear that tells your brain that Modric is world class or that Dawson is a class defender. What a mug!
Then you're welcome here A question along the lines of "how do you rate your chances in the group?" rather than, even if it wasn't meant to be negative, suggesting "wishful thinking" if Arsenal fans think they can qualify. You can see why people reacted badly to it? I'm exactly the same, I'd rather watch Arsenal beat opposition at full strengh and fully prepared, there is no honour in a hollow victory.
I don't give a toss about what he has said in the past. In this thread his first post was number 5. None of the previous 4 posts in the thread mentioned us expecting to come through the group stages. He is (in this instance at least) a wum ****pot and some of you are falling for it.
If you continue to play the way you have been playing, yes, I am of the (honest) opinion that you will struggle quite badly this season. I don't want that to happen, and whilst I am sure that there is a certain type of Spurs fan who would take great sadistic pleasure in your downfall, I am certainly not one of them. As I said before, where's the glory in finishing above a weakened Arsenal? I would be greatly surprised if Wenger does not strengthen your squad in the January window with the purchase of at least one marque player.
Point away to the German champions. Pretty good. As we all know about the CL, win your home game and pick up a few results away from home and its done. We have an amazing home record in the CL. Next we have the worst team in the group at home and we should win that.
