you are a different breed to me matey, I grew up in the situation that I was born in to - none of which was ever my decision. In that way I was a victim of circumstance - so were those around me including my parents and grandparents who were recruited and some of which served time. Have no doubt had we grown up in a normal society we would have found decent normal ways of living without violence. It says something about you that you did indeed grow up in a politically normal part of the United Kingdom yet actively sought to travel and take part in violence that was nothing to do with you.
