The BBC as so Anti Brexit every time Boris spoke the presenter would over talk him.

Thought they all came across without any conviction of a way through the deadlock in Parliament.
Didn't know that Rory wants to bring back May's deal for a 4th time. He's toast if he gets through to the last 2.

I think Boris will win whoever gets second and create a situation where we have a general election.
The Labour north will never vote Tory even if it went totally against their Leave vote in the referendum.
The only way I see Boris winning an election is if he forms some sort of unlikely alliance with Farage.
If he doesn't we'll get Corbyn and Abbott.

I think you're right, Farage needs to get on board with Boris, otherwise I don't see Brexit happening....and if Corbyn & Abbott gets in the next GE....we are bloody doomed..

The BBC has been losing its unbiased attitude very rapidly over the past 2 or 3 years since CLEMENTI Hall and Bulford took over … likely all 3 were remainers

Nigel has already said he will not put up a candidate in those seats where the Standing MP has voted in Parliament to leave /not been hindering the process … this actually means if it so then he potentially loses out on about 100 seats!

I think really its the other way around.... Boris needs to get on board with Farage. Boris could really learn a lot from Farage. Especially with the conviction of what he says. Sometimes Boris just blabbers on about nothing and stutters while he tries to figure out what to say. Boris should use Farage as a secrete behind the scenes advisor. Maybe use an earpiece where Farage tells Boris what to say.

i agree Boris looks like he’s heading for number 10 and if he wants to break the Brexit stalemate then he will have to call a GE. I can see him beating Corbyn in a GE too with an increased majority - whether it will be enough to push through a no-deal Brexit remains to be seen though.
As for Corbyn; it’s interesting because he himself is a Brexiteer although most of his MPs are Remainers - and huge sections of his traditional voters voted for Brexit. If he gets in (god forbid) he is talking of a second referendum to appease his MPs - and if the Brexit party’s showing in the European elections is anything to go by Brexiteers have nothing to fear from that prospect - in fact they might even increase the 4% lead they have from the last one.
As I said earlier in this thread though I think some sort of Brexit will happen but it’ll not be until April next year, once we have sorted our own government out.

I watch question time each week (for my sins) and they always have 5 guests on. And the guests they have are always in favour of remain as they have 3 of the 5 guests being remainers and when they have a strong leaver on, like Farage, then the other 4 are all remainers.

    BBC are a joke.

I can’t wait to see him in PMQT - it would almost be worth the diplomatic suicide of him being prime minister to watch him stumble and squirm his way through with gaffs and gobbledygook as he attempts to answer some of the questioning from the more articulate members of the house !!!! Corbyn, 1970s relic that he is, would eat him for breakfast!!!

Anyone see this last week? I personally don't care about 'manspreading' but it really doesn't look good on a potential PM!

And last nights debate, Rory took his tie off and sat in a really weird strange way. He just looked so far out of his depth. He couldn't even manage to wear a tie through a TV debate to be the next PM. Very amateurish.

Corbyn vs Boris at PM questions would be a right laugh. Boris wouldn't be able to help himself to take it all personally instead of answer in the right manner. It will be a car crash but one that is funny to watch! And I am sure he will say something offensive!

In the early 90's I remember watching a film called upworld. Its a kids film (I was a kid at the time btw). Rory Stewart reminds me of Gnorm, the character in that film. Every time I see Rory, I just think of Gnorm and therefore can't take him seriously.

Everyone on here says that the BBC are remain-favoured but I really don't think it's the case. I definitely see the left-wing influence, that's obvious, you wouldn't get The One Show on a right-wing station for example, but when it comes to Brexit... let's not forget they wheel out Farage every 5 minutes, a man who has never been elected as an MP! And the likes of idiot Mark Francois purely because they're vocal, despite not being anywhere near as senior as many others.

At the end of the day both sides think they're hard done by. But I bet if you add up the guests on Question Time over recent months it will be pretty balanced.

funny I NOTICED EXACTLY THE SAME ! the other thing is you get 2 or 3 ...or more … the jelly wobblers, " a comment from the chap...lady 3rd row in the red top" … camera pans to and they start to wobble like a jelly as they blurt out their question ….. the wobbling intensifying as they do so …. The second they finish an instant accolade, which stops as quick as a light bulb going off when the switch is thrown …. camera does a quick squirt at the audience, clapping ...then back to the jelly who is beaming after his 3 secs of glory now starting the return normality … as the shakes disappear ….

A bit of a twist for Herr Corbyn to sort out.
Twenty-Six Labour MPs Sign ‘Brexit Must Happen’ Letter

please log in to view this image

Twenty-six Labour MPs have written to Jeremy Corbyn to urge him to not commit to a second referendum – a position he is expected to inch even closer to this week. The MPs insist that Labour must “back a deal before 31 October” – despite twenty of these MPs voting against the Withdrawal Agreement when they had the chance. The number of signatures on the letter is a reminder that there are more Labour anti-referendum votes than Tory pro-referendum votes….

Guido’s almost surprised not to see Ian Lavery’s name accidentally making its way onto the list after his Twitter “hack” earlier. Read the letter in full here:

    Dear Jeremy,

We write to you and the Shadow Cabinet in the aftermath of the local elections, the European elections and the Peterborough by-election.

In 2017, Labour MPs were elected representing both strongly Leave-voting and strongly Remain-voting constituencies_ Our Pa, campaigned on a pledge to respect the outcome of the 2016 referendum and negotiate Brent. We still believe only this stance gives us the credibility to speak for the whole nation, not the 4816 or the 52%.

Our Party was devastated in the local elections in longstanding Labour-held councils. The strength of the Brexit Party in Labour heartland areas in the European elections revealed a much more potent threat than either the Liberals or Greens present.

The Peterborough by-election result, with Labours vote share down 17%, and the Brexit Party coming so close, gives a stark warning of what could happen in Tory-Labour marginals, the majority of which are Leave seats. Labour’s briefing note to Peterborough canvassers sought to assure voters that Brexit will not be stopped. in relation to the Brest Pa, candidate it said: “Once Brest has happened, he won’t have any of the answers…” We agree. But we also agree that Brexit must happen. The UK must leave, and do so without further undue delay.

A commitment to a second referendum would be toxic to our bedrock Labour voters, driving a wedge between them and our Party, jeopardising our role as a party of the whole nation, and giving the populist right an even greater platform in our heartlands.
Labour has a vital role to play fighting for a Brexit for the many, not the few. But this is a battle best fought in stage two, after the UK has left.

Rejecting any Brexit in the hope of securing a perfect deal risks the worst outcome – a No Deal Brexit. This would further alienate many who backed Labour in 2017.

We urge the Party to put the national interest first to back a deal before 31 October.

.... but Wiz - Corbyn is a Brexiteer! He SUPPORTS Brexit and voted for it.
The only Remainer parties are the Lib Dem’s and the Scottish Nazis.

Corbyn is a shapeshifter - he'll morph into anything that makes it more likley he'll achieve his ultimate goal.

A man of principle only when it suits his ends - otherwise he will compromise his stance to achieve it.
