I just don't get why governements don't do something to shut this operation down or certainly make it more accountable. Theoretically it's money laundering, and you have no idea when dealing with muliple countries for the big world cup stage, whether this money has passed through sanctioned countries that is used for bribes. I'm surprised at the very least that the Americans are not all over it like a bad rash, especially as they were outbidded by Qatar by Platnini of all people changing his mind!
