I am pretty sure she is just a woman, with naturally elevated testosterone levels. The debate is whether she should be forced to lower her testosterone levels or not - which of course, she shouldn't.

Next we will be asking Ronaldo not to jump for headers as his natural physical attributes that allow him to jump higher give him an advantage over others

Whatever your feelings about VAR, you've got to feel sorry for Nigeria in their game against France

Contentious penalty given (originally not given, overturned after VAR), Nigerian player receives 2nd yellow and therefore red card
    Penalty missed
VAR says GK jumped off her line (barely, and penalty missed the goal anyway), GK booked
    Retaken penalty is scored

Would VAR have given it the other way? I doubt it.

What's frustrating as a fan is when you see both Norway's goals from penalties and in both there was clear encroachment from the attacking players - why weren't these re-taken also?

Every pen from now is going to be watched by Hawks. That was some real BS right there. The French bloke.....I mean girl didn't even appeal it. So harsh. The ref was just looking for things to give them. Utterly bizarre. If this is a glimpse of whats to come, then I am concerned. Libby & I will start sorting our placards for the march! <laugh>

Something is really very odd about their books. A notoriously cheap club, their wage bill and overall money outflow are extraordinarily high. They spent about double on wages as Pompey did in 2017-18, but that isn't the half of it. Total staff costs list as £10.2m (which, again, quite high, especially given that their squad isn't large or filled with pricey players), but that's only half of their total expenses, which exceeded £20m for the second consecutive year.

It's hard to do apples-to-apples because clubs don't all do their books in the same fashion, but I'm really at a loss to figure out how they've managed to post such high operating expenses year after year, especially with Duchatelet's fixation on austerity. Their expenses were, at a glance, 39% above big-spending Wigan (whose wages were comparable), 235% that of Bristol Rovers (whose wages were half those of Charlton), 224% that of Southend (whose wages were half those of Charlton). There are some capital expenditures related to facilities improvement but nothing that covers that gulf, nor does it explain how total expenses have remained so stubbornly high...nor why their wage bill is so hefty given that they're so damned stingy.

I'm clearly not suggesting that anything untoward is afoot, as these books have duly been signed off on by an auditor. I am asking, with a completely open mind: what in the ****? How can one be that cheap and have such extraordinarily high expenses?

If it isn't players' wages, it has to be executive wages. Auditors would sign it off because there is nothing illegal about paying the people at the top exorbitant money.

I might be phrasing things very carefully. Also, some football clubs might be really litigious. I am not stating that these two things are connected.
