STOP HATING ON KIERON RICHARDSON! He's your best player by a mile. If we stuck Ben Arfa in at left back and he played ****, I would say "why the **** was he playing left back?" I wouldn't say "oh that proves Ben Arfa is ****". Kieron Richardson's best position is in the hole, this is proven by the fact that he seems to perform every time he is put there. He is just an extreme example of Bruce not knowing where his players should play. I dare say you could turn your season around with players playing in the right position in a sensible formation, eg:

    Mignolet
    O'Shea Brown Bramble Bardsley
    Larsson Gardner Vaughan Sessegnon
    Richardson
    Bendtner

    Just my opinion lads

Your completely wrong saying he is our best player.

Bizzarely though, i think if you swap O'Shea and Bardsley, you have our best team.

Richardson COULD be our best player. He has had a chance to play that role in his early days at the club. A 4 game hot spell and a goal against you's doesn't cut it I'm afraid. He's a squad player at best. Although, he does have potential to be a massive player for us.

Cheik the room has a point 2bh

Richardson was playing some top stuff before his injury just behind the striker.

Not sure about being our best player but if he played in tht position on a regular basis he would be a key player for us

Totally agree with you mate, I thought Peter Reid was bad for playing players out of position but this bloke is worse, Sessegnon has told him he's not a striker and never will be .
We all know Richardson started his career as a left-back so surely Bruce must wonder why his previous teams didn't play him in that position.
Cloughie was the master at playing to your strengths and I'm not alone in hoping that our next manager Martin O'Neil brings that with him

Good post, I would go with that team but with the full backs the other way round.

Don't know about best player as I like Sess for them. I'd have him in the hole and Richardson left. I think Sunderland have dicked him around similar to what we did with the zog. Richardson made the England squad on merit playing left or central. I think he is a cracking left sided player and can not understand him not being played there when you're crying out for one. He cannot play full back. He can get away with it, but that is not what Sunderland should be aiming for after constant investment. I've said before I don't rate Bruce, he wastes money and seems to struggle to understand the importance of building a team. To not sign a natural left back was bizarre.

Oh dear. Another mag thinking he knows our team inside out. Colback has been our player of the season so far and doesn't get a mention in that team. Go away please. Cheers.

Just my opinion, like I said. If you've got issues then your on the wrong site, you need counselling or something.

Don't agree with this mind, Brown by a distance, Colback has done ok, without having much influence.

Colback falls into a pack including Sess, Seb and Cattermole, who have done ok, but need to do a lot more.

I disagree re Colback, he's not ready yet and should be used more sparingly.

If Richardson is in the team it has to be left wing at the moment. It is bad the amount of abuse he gets for playing **** at left back, not the lads fault only Bruce can see he can't defend very well. He is ok with somebody running at him but its the technical part of defending like not dropping back in at free kicks and holding the line he is no good at and that is hard to teach if its not a natural part of your game, which for him it isn't.

Fair enough, but in that case, when I actually try and make reasonable discussion, try to reciprocate?
