I've noticed that when a studio audience cheers a right wing panellist it is seen as vindication of that viewpoint; cheers a more left-wing viewpoint it is seen as a conspiracy to pick a biased audience. As the chair pointed out at the end none of them mentioned climate change, which is by far the most important issue facing us, even if the Right pretends it's a left-wing plot.
Even a left wing Remainer like you must admit that the Channel 4 audience composition last night was odd. They were introduced as floating voters, but hammered Raab & were ecstatic over the most left wing candidate (RS) Within politics Channel 4 has a very bad reputation, and it’s not hard to understand why.
I only caught the last half hour, but usually tv audiences are selected by an independent agency. Raab simply doesn't come over as being very genuine to me. All irrelevent really, we know Boris will walk it.

Worth remembering it's not 'people' (as in the public) who are going to vote Boris in. In a way this whole business of live debates is just window dressing. Behind the scenes it's a done deal.
