I wish! If it’s Appleton, and he’s probably one of the very few that’d accept the clowns terms, then they can go and get ****ed!
Appleton is just one of those blokes who inspires no emotion in me whatsoever , not anger or joy , just a depressing void of emptiness
Must say if its Appleton or Pennock, I would rather have Pennock. He obviously has feelings for the club having been here some time, brought through the Academy players which is going to be very important , and worked for a year with the likes of Burke, de Wijs etc who we will really need to kick on. I realise he's a bit of an unknown quantity as a manager but in the current circumstances I would be happy to see him rather than yet another English manager who's been the rounds already and is looking for another payday.
Appleton's a completely uninspiring choice. Other than overseeing an Oxford team on the rise, his record is distinctly meh.
Agree, Appleton is very uninspiring to say the least. But its a very Allam appointment and it'll probably be him.
Nobody was inspired by the Adkins appointment. If it has to be Appleton so be it, uninspiring manager for an uninspiring team.
I wasn't overly happy with Adkins, but that was mainly down to his annoying personality , which grew on me in the end . But he did at least have some success on his CV to back it up , I don't see why people keep employing Appleton
I like you Kempton but its ****ing none stop with you at the moment. I find you ****ing depressing to be honest it's just a game mate in the big picture of life it isnt that important.
Exactly.. very Allam because an unambitious appointment like Appleton shows how much they dont give a **** about our club any more. The names of Bruce, Phelan, Slutsky and Adkins are a thing of the past. The idea of employing a manager with ambition and talent are no longer in their thoughts.. It's purely down to who will be cheap, who is desperate for a job and who will put up with their crap. Nothing personal against Appleton, I dont know the guy, but its a really poor choice if he does get the job. A manager who's pretty much failed wherever he's gone will be given the rails at a club in dire need of a decent manager to help keep our heads above water. Adkins did, Appleton wont.
