Same. I decided a few years ago that spending my spare time doing jobs that others could do better and in half the time was a ****e idea.

I find it really therapeutic and I've always enjoyed working with my hands. Nothing better than spending a few hours on your own with something to show for it at the end. Having the correct tools for the job is half the battle.

Up very early to see the boy off on his school trip. Went back to bed, daughter woke me up at 8am as she wanted to give me breakfast in bed, I declined and went back to sleep!

Finally got up and my gifts were a 4 pack of Estrella, a bag of tortillas and a couple of jars of chipotle dip.

Going to watch her play cricket this afternoon, will get a takeaway later. Not interested in going to a restaurant to pay for the compulsory three course Fathers Day Special menu (made with the produce they didn’t sell during the week).

    Already missing the boy.

My mother in law gives me a pack of shower gel and deodorant type stuff every Xmas. I’m going to give her some miracle anti wrinkle cream this year, see how she likes it.

Unless there’s something a foot that I’m unaware of, won’t be seeing mine today. Ones just landed back from holiday, ones working and the other is 150 miles away. All managed to actually get me a card though, some chocolates and an internet flower delivery (what the actual ****?) that arrived yesterday while I was out & they didn’t leave it.

Chocolates, nice, i'd be more than happy with that.

Flowers, they are ok, more for the house i see it. Never been bought flowers but I actually wouldn't be offended if I were, although don't think mine would be brave enough...see now that's what I call unique.

Just become the grateful recipient of a bottle of Chateauneuf-du-Pape from the youngest (hoping the missus bought it!) <cheers>

I think if I had a choice out of the above options posted between Lynx or Flowers....it would have to be flowers everytime, i'd rather the house smelt nice, than stinking of Lynx.
