You were buying a back-up to what you already had which by extension made him (in the clubs/managers opinion) worse. Just goes to show what some people can achieve in the right environment.

 

I rate Diop tbf. He’s always looked quality when I’ve seen him.

 

Milner had just played a full season at LB. Robbo was brought in but we actually started the following season with Moreno. Who ****ing knows what the plan was

 

I have no idea about your team. Mito obviously does. Back up to whoever we had at LB on any given day. 'Another option' may be a better phrase than back up for that particular position.

 

With the state of their team, most incoming players are more likely to be an improvement...
