One thing that does need sorting this window is Papy Mendy. He has 12 months left on his contract. Either sell him or give him a new deal

Assuming Tielemans was to sign, he, Maddison (again as long as he stays) and Ndidi make up the 3. Choudhury is also there and then Mendy. Possibly keep Mendy for the year and then let him go? Depends if we have someone else coming through the academy. What position is Tavares? The other lad Dewsbury-Hall (?) seems to be outgrowing the u23’s as well. Not sure if even in a years times either would be ready to play a part in the squad but Mendy could be a stop gap in that sense

If we want to keep Mendy for just another year give him a new deal and then sell him next year. That way we will make a few quid out of it and possible get the £13M transfer fee back

Crazy to think that was our transfer record at the time. Only for a few days though until Musa signed

I can’t see Mendy signing a new deal if he knows he’s the 4th/5th CM. Run the contact down and then take the big money move when teams will pay you anything due to no fee

We are linked with Adnan Januzaj again - apparently we had a €20m bid rejected in Jan.

Sounds like half of Turkey want to sign Fousenni Diabate

Should make a profit at least. Paid £2.5M. Probably get about double that

So apparently Ricardo to PSG now. So that’s Maguire to Man City, Maddison to Man Utd, Ricardo to PSG, Chilwell to Man City and Tielemans to not return to sign for Spurs. Really will just be Schmeichel and Evans turning out in the opening game of the season if the media get their way <laugh>

BS. PSG have to be very careful with spending as they will fail FFP. Apparently buying 2 players for £350M in a season isnt a great idea.

We paid £25M for Ricardo and after the season he has again he will probably cost about £60M which they cant and wont pay

The transfer market is broken beyond belief now. Clubs can put massive prices on any players now

I know mate, just find it funny how the media actually think we’ll let all the above leave. They’re all on long contracts and the club don’t need to sell. Pay big or **** off

If Man U or City buy Maguire the world has gone mad. He will cost a world record for a defender and as much as I like Maguire I dont think you will find 1 Leicester fan who would consider him world class. Its debatable if he is even the best defender we have between him and Jonny Evans

Albeit he struggled at times last season Riyad Mahrez was priced correctly at £60M as he is world class. If Maguire wasnt English he would probably be talked about for about £40M. Its the simple fact he is English and we dont want or need to sell why he would cost so much

I would like to keep him but with Evans, Morgan, Soyuncu, Benkovic and £75M+ coming in. It wouldnt be the end of the world

Agree 100%. Its the one area of the park where we are blessed with options. Soyuncu continues to get experience with Turkey plus we have yet to see Benkovic. We have a habit of one big sale per year so if that continues rather it was Maguire than Maddison or Pereira

We are being linked with Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan - really doubt he would come to us without European football but is a good sign that we are being linked.

On Maguire I think we will stand firm and keep him. Maddison and Chilwell have already said they want to stay. Maguire sounds happy to do whatever the club say

I watched Belgium V Scotland last night and Youri Tielemans started and played about 80 mins

For us everything went through him and Maddison. He got on the ball alot and started the attacks. Last night he was like a spare part. Didnt influence the game as De Bruyne and Hazard was the ones getting most of the ball understandably

But this is what he will get if he goes to the big clubs

For his career he would be best coming here for 2-3 years which will take him to 23/24 years old. Then he will have the right experience and still be young enough to get his big move

Hes 30, so maybe its not out of the question that hes looking for 1 last big career ending contract.

We'd probably give him a better wage and more minutes on the pitch than the top 6 who might see him more as a utility player being over 30. There'd be no resale value there, but if it created more chances and pushed us into europe next year, then im sure the owners will be interested. If he wants to play in the prem, then we may be his best option.

Its a shame hes a left winger, as i think Barnes could still use time there and we are in more desperate need of a right winger tbh.

Spurs with in talks with Lyon over Tanguy NDombele

He would cost about £60M so unless they sell Eriksen which seems unlikely atm until Real sell some players. I cant see them making a serious bid for Youri Tielemans

Apparently they have a shed load of money from the Champions League and their new stadium and all of his has been promised to Pochettino to keep him at Spurs - can see them chucking money around like Man City...

Hmm, Champions League money even pails into insignificance compared to Premier League money doesn’t it?
Not sure how they work out the stadium gives them money as well as it cost £1billion. Maybe long term but they’ll be in debt similar to Arsenal with their new stadium surely

They probably got alot extra for getting all the way to the final. Levy in no way would have planned for that much income, so wouldn't be surprised if they have extra funds available.

Creative accounting is the answer - is the way that we are able to afford a £100m training ground and still not fall foul of FFP because we are borrowing against future earnings or something like that.
