Good Morning Everyone Leeds have turned down a bid from an unknown La Liga club to take Sami Saiz on loan next season! I suppose that makes sense. The 28yo has a year and a half on his contract, and Leeds want to at least recoup the 3m they paid for him!!! BBC journalist Dan Roan has echoed Phil Hay's in pouring cold water over a possible QSI takeover! According to the Sports editor of the BBC, 6 parties have approached LUFC for potential investment, and the QSI story was being heavily exaggerated! Whilst we wait and see what our new centenary kit looks like, its time to ask you, what was your favourite Leeds Utd kit, and why?
morning all Regarding the kits best one we've had lately is the 17- 18 kappa home kit, My fave has to be the puma kit with the logo down the sleeves and the 95 -96 kit has a special place in my heart as it was the first shirt my parents bought me as a 10th birthday present.
Morning all The QSI thing will rumble on and it must be great for Radz knowing he is sitting on a thing lots of people want to buy off him. However his personal wealth ambitions doesn't help us bring in players who will get us promoted, but will wait and see what develops. A couple of bits of news: Woodgate will take the Boro job probably today, so are they now struggling under new ownership or is this a shrewd move? Marcus Abad our goalkeeping coach has signed a new contract keeping him at the club. It seems he is wanted back in Spain....... Come on somebody tell me why he is highly thought of when he presided over Felix and now Kiko. Yes he has brought Huffer, BPF and Miazek through but it would seem when they get to a certain level???
Morning all... The Strongbow kit was always amongst my favourites. I don’t mind the T/O investment interest, it shows we’re heading in the right direction. If Rads is turning it down you’d assume he has at least some cash to try at least one more assault on promotion. Three very poor loans for one reason or another, Blackman, Baker, Brown a poor GK signing and a cock up with Daniel James who Bielsa spotted and we had to Wiki. Fine margins but a margin we could bridge with better decisions this coming season. We’ve lots of wages and cash sitting in nearly a dozen players that will not feature next season, we need to shift some of those and it would be stupid to loan out Saiz then see him leave on a free
Morning all. If nothing to the QSI thing, why was Bielsa out of the country for a meeting with them last week or was that more porkies in the media? If Rads keeps trying to do this solo, we will not progress. As for shifting the great unwanted, every one of them likely to be subsidised because of their contracts so no windfalls there either. Money will have to come from an alternative source and someone other than Orta doing the scouting or whoevers been doing it for last two seasons
So keep saiz and pay his wages then?. Why not just recall him if no one will pay for him. That way if he dont come back he is terminated. Cash or slash works for me.
The word on QSI is that, yes Bielsa was in Doha last week, there is talk of a 15% stake being put in, a MoU with PSG on loanees, if we get promoted then a full buy out from QSI. One thing I will warn everyone of is these people do not rush things, Rads needs to keep his powder dry and strike when the deal is right for everyone,
As a committed football rumour watcher I can say there's something different going on right now. Usually we have a wave of stories from people ITK and tall tales of players coming in. Not this time as the only stories are about top end loan players which is what the club said they were going to do. So no wild tales just confirmed stories about Costa, White, Mvididi and Harrison. I think something is happening in the background but no idea what. I suspect it will be good news or a statement telling us that something was tried and it fell flat. If we start going for players from lower leagues I suspect whatever was going on failed
It means they have had a look at a glossy sales brochure which in real terms is a detailed look at the books, the structure, the assets and liabilities
Makes sense Doc. Either way well have a clear picture for the coming season over next couple of months hopefully.
My understanding of an MoU (did you see what I did there? ) is that it's a documented set of rules governing their relationship that has been agreed by both sides. Rules of engagement, if you like.
WOW,thanks doctor Doc.This forum is getting very ceribel lately (had to look that up as well) & still not sure if i spelt that right
Southern I'm a man of the people. Big people like WJ and Eire, slim people like Shaks and thick people too mate
A MoU means it’s a non-binding agreement between two (bilateral) or more (multilateral) parties. It’s a mutual understanding/agreement of each party’s responsibility and requirements. But its not legally enforceable contract. It is often used as a first step towards a formal contract that is legally enforced.
