Agree with that Folan goal, thing that pissed me off was city fans booing the ones that was celebrating on the pitch.
For me, that was the moment of greatest heightened elation I've ever experienced at a football match. As Nicky barged that ball into the net, I knew we were Wembley bound. And I suspect those cavorting around me in East Stand were in general agreement.
5-3 in an FA Cup Semi Final at Wembley against sheff Utd and getting to our first FA Cup Final Oh yes Watch the highlights
Loved all our Wembley trips , although still in a bit of a sulk over the Arsenal game . The cup semi is probably my favourite as it was against the team I despise the most . The Deano goal was something I thought I would never see and created some of the above memories for my fellow City fans . It was just a cracking goal too , swift counter attack , lovely footwork and vision from Campbell and then the superbly executed volley . I attended every game mentioned above , except the Stoke game ( I was barely 6 and Dad said I had to help mum at home while he and my brother attended the game ) although I have seen footage on You tube . All the games mentioned have their merits and everyone has their opinions , Which is only human nature.
I always say Kieran Gibbs won Arsenal the cup that day . Us 3 nil to the good after 12 minutes , even Arsenal wouldn't have come back from that .
Fantastic day, and game.....Harry Maguire came of age that day.. Great stadium, I went with a pal, sadly no longer with us. We parked next to the stadium, but what a pain getting out. A broken down car made sure we were still in the queue two hours after the final whistle.
