Liverpool, Manchester United and Barcelona have all been linked with the 19-year-old so far this summer. Rangers set to re-sign Liverpool's Ryan Kent despite Aston Villa and Leeds United interest - reports
Gerrard's transfer policy seems to be "sign all me mates from Liverpool". Whereas I see the value in knowing the positive and negative qualities of the people who will be working for you, this shows a lack of imagination... Or a really poor scouting network. If Gerrard is going to make it... If he ever wants to be good enough to take over LFC he can't just keep signing everyone that he knew at Liverpool. He's going to have to take gambles on players from elsewhere and learn to spot talent.
By Wayne Veysey Sheyi Ojo has agreed the terms of a new five-year contract with Liverpool, Football Insider understands. The Merseyside giants have moved to further tie down the winger, 21, even though he only signed his most recent extension in August of last year. Liverpool ‘have ruled out’ the prospect of signing Max Kruse from Werder Bremen as it would block Rhian Brewster‘s first-team pathway. Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge shares New York City video amid MLS links Sturridge will become a free agent at the end of June after six years at Liverpool and has been linked with a move to America
Liverpool linked with Fiorentinas Federico Chiesa for £70mill allegedly (but I don't believe it... Not at that price) 21 year old winger and scored 6 goals last season... £70mill... Nah. 12 caps for Italy... And we know how other Italians fared with us. If we sign him it won't be £70mil or this world has gone mad.
any time Florentine players are linked to us I think there's one agent over there who just likes our name.
Klopp is a fan of Chiesa, but there's no chance we'll be signing him at that price! Links are correct as we've watched him, but sweet bugger all chance of us getting him.
To be fair he needs to bring in decent quality with a small budget. I doubt rangers have a web of scouts out, it's like they are shopping in the highest level where slot of information will be Available about a player. I reckon at this level a huge amount of transfers come from some one knowing some ones brother and Reckons a lad will be good.
Gerrard is doing exactly what id do if I was at a **** club in a **** league, fair play is what I say.
I don't think he has the personality to create the positive atmosphere in the dressing room that Klopp is doing. I think the fact that everyone seems happy and working together is equally as important as talent.
I think in some respects it's more important. Fergie always had 4 top class strikers but you never heard any unrest from players not starting, they all had one goal (winning) and knew they would all play a part in it. Too many individuals (wannabe stars) in most dressing rooms these days and not enough team spirit, Klopp has this sorted.
Fergie did have trouble with egos - but not for long. Anyone who didn't toe the line was out on his ear in no time. This is quite right, imo. Only one man can run the show and the rest need to know and accept that. Although Klopp plays the jolly German in public - the way he dealt with Sakho showed the ruthless streak that I'm sure he has behind the scenes.
Pepe looks exciting if we are in for him. Looks quick and is another left footed option. Seems like is decent on that right hand side cutting in and making runs in behind the defence similar to Salah in that aspect. Not sure what his link up play and against deep lying defences are like. Lot of money but we def need first team quality to switch in and out with current front 3 and would allow us to rest firm more and move Salah central.
I’m definitely sold on him now. Has the pace to run in behind defences but also has the skill and directness to take on players and get in the box. €80m is a lot but he has goals, assists and versatile to play at least as CF and RW. Already performing at a good level with the potential to reach new levels
The Echo also said that Danny Ward would be given a chance last season so Alisson wasn’t needed, they also didn’t have a clue on Fabinho until it happened, James Pearce famously said Fekir had passed the medical and deal was completed.
