"he is full of regret and ashamed of what happened." because he got caught not because of any sense of morality , prick
Spot on, I had many prisoners coming through Swansea custody, who were ashamed and sorry. As you say they and he are only sorry because they have been caught. we used to have loads of women shoplifting and crying when they came in, No sympathy from me they wouldn't have been crying when they were trying on the clothes they nicked in their front room if they hadn't got caught. I hope they chuck the book at him. that will mean 50 hrs community service then.
Interesting. I'm back in good old Swansea for a week soon, so I may have to have some fish and chips to go with my Joes
Not heard of it before but not surprising as I'm out of touch with most things Swansea these days! Might try a sit-in when I'm down
You can do a sit-in in Hiks mate. Depends on wether you're visiting when the Swans are playing, cos it could be before/after the match. Lib about 15 mins walk away... As you can probably remember, plenty of watering holes in the general area. Enjoy mate...
I wonder if you could get house insurance ,which is normally difficult to obtain if you live on a flood plain
Not Swansea Way but Welsh Way so I thought I'd add it. Please read and enjoy..... https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/jun/13/welsh-speaking-bilingual-tv-thrillers-cool
In Ireland I believe speaking Irish Gaelic is compulsory from primary school (my sister-in-law's kids do anyway). Welsh should be in Wales.
The growth of Welsh speaking schools in the Swansea area is one we should be proud of , I now have family members who's first language is Welsh something which two generations ago wasn't the case. We have a beautiful country, a proud heritage and if the growth in interest in the language continues then the stronger and sustainable it will become. I could never understand why French and German were the main languages to learn in school when 3/4 of the world speak English .We historically have a problem as a nation , we're not considered to be a country in its own right rather a principality and being tied to Westminster for so long has as consequence diluted our identity in some respects. There are zealots on both sides of any argument and the problem has been that those who have promoted the language have at times treated non welsh speaking habitants as less than worthy ,I hope the growth in the speaking of the language doesn't come at a negative cost to those can't or don't speak Welsh.
On alert....know where they are.... https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/police-standby-gathering-youths-planned-16426299
