Originally I was thinking of Darren Potter, but then I decided to swap it to Nile Ranger.... Ranger, (Hermione) Grainger....no?
Fair enough! Try this one then: I'm not allowed to do what my name suggests indoors in public any more. I played for Saints first team only a couple of times, having spent most of my career in the reserves. My main sport was cricket, where I played for Hampshire.
No idea for CBK's either. Heres another one I am a striker. I played six times for Saints but never scored. I joined saints in 1997 from FK BODO/GLIMT. Who am I ?
One for the older fans. Was Brian O'Neil. Not sure if it was the same incident, but I believe he got a record ban at the time from the FA, something like an 8 game ban, which was unheard of at the time. He was hard as nails and when the red mist descended, no one could stop him, not the ref, the manager or team mates. Bit about him on a Burnley website, where he was also a cult hero.... http://claretsmad.co.uk/sngl/ed95/brian_oneil_128539/index.shtml
Regularly goes to games at St Marys, so I've been told. Has a season ticket. Sits in the crowd. No fanfare.
Saw him play for Burnley against us, but I don't think I ever saw him play for us. As you say, one of footballs's hard men!
I believe when he was banned, the club even banned him from the ground, but O'Neil would get smuggled into the Archers Road end by fans to watch games.
