We're not allowed to change history? Just witness it?

I'd probably go back to the Triumph held in Rome after Caesar kicked French arse. They were throwing gold coins at people in the street as they passed as they walked through the city.

A few of those coins in mint condition, I'd sell them when I returned... Authentic 2000 year old Roman coins from such an event have to be worth a lot these days.

If we were allowed to change history however, I'd go back and visit DaVinci and tell him not to make a painting of a half smiling tranny. Paint a hot babe instead.

I’d go back to the time of the Lone Rangers death. He was granted one wish the day before and apparently whispered something in Silvers ear. A few hours later Silver returned with a voluptuous brunette who he spent the night with but hacked to death in the morning.

I’d tell Silver, he said Posse, not Pussy.

The Romans produced **** loads of coins, evidence of how complex and advanced their civilisation was in comparison to many of those that came after. It took about 1400 years for Europe to catch up again culturally, scientifically and legally to the levels of the late Roman Republic.

Next time you are London there is a shop opposite the British Museum where you can buy Roman coins surprisingly cheaply. I had a bronze Denari from the reign of the Emperor Claudius, which is probably worth less now than it was then. It was fun to own though, might still be kicking around in my flat somewhere.

The silver ones are a bit more expensive, around £80 for a decent example. I imagine gold ones must be extremely rare, I don’t think I have seen any for sale.
