Hamilton was all over vettel, passing him was inevitable.

Hamilton's done his line, the teams backed him off and said coast mate save your engine.

Hamilton is just cruising home now.

 

Vettel was sawing at wheel. He'd no options there and to give a penalty for that is pathetic.

Why do we need Ferrari to win ?

They have had more than enough help in years gone by and get a massive cash injection ever year , just for being them .

Hmm. I can see why it was given. Vettel did push him off circuit and I don't think he had to.

I has absolutely killed the race though. I do hate time penalties, encourages drivers not to bother.

 

I hope Hamilton doesn't celebrate that victort, probably more tainted then Ferrari win in the USA in 2005

 

True but we need any team other than Merc to win to add a bit of excitement.

 

If he gained an advantage by doing it, then he should either give the place over, or a penalty is correct.

Maybe the stewards should have given him the option, so at least he could have had the chance to fight back?

Now the race is done as Hamilton no longer needs to risk a pass, unless he wants to prove a point that he didn't need the penalty to win.
