good idea Piskie about merging, didn't see this one. it is very attacking, and would have worked had we had the Song from 2 seasons ago, but last season he realised he could run around at the front of the pitch and ignore defending, and therefore this probably won't work. against Udinese when we played Frimpong AND Song, Song was the one who moved forwards more, making it a 433. i don't want this to happen as he simply isn't good enough, and therefore if Wenger tells him. "you mark Göetze and defend at all costs" he may listen and be more effective.

Don't encourage him @ Drude I think Song just hasn't got it in him to stay back and defend, he's always looking for an opportunity to get forward. I'd play Frimpong and Song just behind Arteta and Benayoun, with Gervinho and RVP up front
Bit narrow there Piskie!! Very little width. I think the choice is between Frimpong or Benayoun to start. I'd rather start with Frimpong and bring on Benayoun if the guys are losing to increase creativity.
It is narrow, but if Frimpong and Song played as DM's it would allow Sagna and Santos to give us width
Dortmund are a big powerful team. Would rather see frimpong and song in the middle and keep Benayoun on the bench. also if he's fit Santos over Gibbs.

Dortmund play very high up the pitch, I think that you can catch them on the counter, but they are very clever on the attack and I think they will outsmart your defense. Don't let their poor start fool you, they lost to Hoffenhaim (sp) from a wonder free kick and had an off day in attack. They were caught out on the counter a couple of times against Hertha and have been a bit dodgy defending set pieces. They missed Gotze at the weekend, with him and Grobkreutz they will have a strong attack.
