Yep, there were some immense clips earlier in the season of Gomez just blocking people out, using his pace to track back and taking the ball forward. Barely conceded that first half of the season
For those who haven't seen it yet: As announced earlier this week, Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge are set to leave the Reds upon the expiry of their contracts this summer having helped the club clinch its sixth European Cup. Academy graduate Connor Randall, who made eight senior appearances under Jürgen Klopp, and goalkeeper Adam Bogdan, who played six games for the first team, will depart ahead of 2019-20 too. Academy players Juanma, Conor Masterson, Glen McAuley, Corey Whelan and Ben Williams are also set to leave the club. Contract offers have been made to Bobby Adekanye, Daniel Atherton, George Johnston, Abdi Sharif and Edvard Tagseth. Everybody at Liverpool FC thanks the departing players for their contributions and wishes them the best of luck for the future
One of the guys off the 'Anfield Wrap', (season ticket holder and watches every game) was putting this out there last week. Gomez was arguably the better CB overall in that first half of the season, he really is that good.
yet when I said it I was told I was stupid and he was injury prone...... like... in 2018.... dear oh dear.. some day you lot will actually listen
LIVERPOOL are unlikely to sign Lyon striker Moussa Dembele because of Divock Origi’s impressive end to the season. Liverpool were never in any real danger of seeing one of their star names move on this summer. And winning the Champions League made Reds bosses even more sure of that. But even if Jurgen Klopp 's side had ended the season trophyless, having narrowly missed out on the Premier League title, the general consensus around Anfield is the German is continuing to build something special. One point and an exceptional Manchester City, arguably the greatest ever put together on British soil, was the only thing Liverpool had to curse for their long wait for a league title heading into a 30th year. But it's easy to forget how far they have come under FSG. From the verge of administration to European champions in less than a decade, it has been an incredible ride.
Keep being linked with Bruno Fernandes. Great year in Portugal, can’t see seen him play though. Strange as was talked about a replacement for Fernandinho but his stats say he scores and assists so not sure what type of player? More box to box?
Nicolas Pepe is set to shun Premier League interest to sign for Bayern Munich instead. The Lille star has caught the eye of Liverpool and Manchester United after a stunning season in Ligue 1. Pepe fired 22 goals in all competitions as they sealed a Champions League spot for next campaign. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants the Ivory Coast international to add competition to his attack following Daniel Sturridge's exit. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to shake up his Manchester United squad this summer after they missed out on a top-four finish.
Seen very little of Pepe but the clips on youtube make him look so awkward on the ball, I get the impression he'd be so frustrating to watch but occasionally pulls off something crazy.
thats a good shout mate, rather sane personally, will be one hell of a player. pepe i don't know much about.
