Superman, I might shock you here, but i do actually agree about some of the things you just raised. The championship still keeps a certain degree of the art of tackling, its not so clear cut as the premier with always 4 or 5 clubs competing to the very end. But my opinion is that you would have never raised this point if you hadn't have had a few decisions go against you, or had fluked a win. Which in turn shows that this had happened because you have started pretty poorly, in a division which you yourself stated before the season started that you expected to win nearly 50% of your home games.

Thai, while i respect you opinion, are you stating that any Ipswich fan that goes on the Norwich board has to agree with your opinions? I thought i lived in a country of free speech. Surely a debating forum is all about arguing your point of view and if you truly support your view you will argue it to the strongest degree!

i'm not entirely surprised that you agree with me on this - i think most fans of clubs of our size would probably feel this way overall. from what i've seen so far the premier league isn't that good. the top six are miles ahead and then the rest is much of a muchness really. thats why we have a pretty good chance of staying up! i promise you that i would have raised this point whatever our results. i am honest enough to state that it may not have been this early on but it was coming. its not fun! its a horrible atmosphere and at wigan on the opening day i mentioned it for the first time that it was just so fake and rubbish to watch. i still believe by the way that we will win 8, 9, or 10 home matches this season which was my prediction for what we would need, complimented by at least two away wins, which i think we have an excellent chance of getting. we really should have won at least 1 of the first 2 home matches but its still early days. anyway, its good that city and town fans can talk utter bollocks on a forum - we are too far apart to do it in the pub, and certainly far too far apart in terms of ability on a football field for you lot to give us any stick! ;)

Well Supers I wasn't expecting your lot to ever emulate what we achieved in our first season back in the Premiership! <ok> Sorry I forgot I am not allowed to mention the past! <doh>

That is not what I am saying at all. As I said last night when I requested you back off a little, you looked like a man on a personal crusade. Even after that friendly request you remained relentless. We know where you stand and I am sure I speak for all City fans when I say you do not have to constantly bang on about your opions of our club or supporters.

At least the likes of JWM actually debate without the need to simply repeat the same old, same old.

You summed yourself up perfectly yourself when you say - and if you truly support your view you will argue it to the strongest degree! You are liked a Doberman with a babies arm, you never let go! When 2 parties disgaree the best thing to do is compromise or back off, not continue fighting your corner.

By all means say your piece, then fade away in to the background. We don't mind talking to you guys but when someone takes a great deal of time, thought and effort in to creating a lengthy post to open a topic please respect the effort that has been taken to do so and not just stampede in an descend the debate in to an argument <ok>

Superman, are you saying out of your remaining 16 homes games, what with 6 against the top sides, so lets not count them. leaving you with realistically 10 'winnable' games, so by your maths you will win at least 80% of those winnable games! that will never happen in a million years.

we have 17 home games left out of 19, i think we can win at the very least 8 of them yes. its not impossible!!! you make it sound like we shouldn't even bother trying... football is unpredictable. i bet you didn't think we'd beat man united last time

i'd back us to get results against any team other than united, citeh, chelsea, liverpool, spurs and arsenal, though the latter aren't exactly great shakes at the moment. as i say, its much of a muchness. if we play at the top of our game we will a lot of teams. problem is, we probably won't play top of our game in every game

by the way thai, i think guru should be allowed to fight his corner. its only a forum and it didn't bother me that my article got pulled from the mainstream. i always fight my corner and it would be hypocritical to say otherwise, though i'm with you on him banging the same old drum on every thread. would be nice to get a few more opinions guru! <ok>

aah, so you are basing all this on one match, a match which it has to be said was by far our poorest performance of the four so far. a quick recap from as unbiased a view as possible would be: wigan away - 1-1 - fair result, very even match. stoke home - 1-1 - we dominated the match for long spells, got our goal and were cruising before a certain jon walters took a tumble outside the box when there was no contact, ref gave a pen and red card, and the momentum swung. chelsea away 1-3 - cracking performance and most chelsea fans agreed we were good for a point until the penalty. red card was quite harsh though it was a definite penalty, no real complaints though losing to a team who will prob finish 3rd. west brom home - 0-1 - poor performance overall, not helped by more poor officiating, didn't test the keeper enough, smash and grab by the visitors, 0-0 would have been fairer.

so ok, only 2 points but its hardly a disaster! i felt we would be on 4 points at this stage. despite qpr's huge array of new signings, they were unable to beat an awful newcastle team last night. it just shows how tough the league is but also how throwing money at it is no guarantee. we shall see what happens. remember, once we get that first win, confidence will grow.
