Three people lost their lives and to me each of those lives is of equal value. If one was foolish and two weren't I can't separate my feelings for each loss. Probably because I didn't know any of them, maybe, I don't know. We don't know the circumstances, as someone has already said maybe the passengers were egging him on. We'll never know. He was undoubtedly reckless and I fully accept there's another way of looking at this. I also acknowledge that just like there are levels of happiness or anger or any other human emotion there are levels of sympathy. People will feel more sympathy for the passengers than the driver and I understand that too.
A tragic loss of 3 young lives, irrespective of the circumstances. Apportioning blame without knowing the full circumstances is pointless. That said, people driving at track speeds on public roads beyond their own ability and the often beyond the ability of the machine, is a pet hate of mine. People seem to forget that there’s only 4 pieces of air filled rubber between them and a potential incident that they might not have the time or the ability to react to.
I think the simplest way to sum it up is: He was being a reckless idiot; however being a reckless idiot is not equatable to deserving to die... ... And also Greez never said he did.
Just read on the BBC that the third person was thrown from the car and is still alive. Hope he gets well soon.

I remember it very well. I could not get a ticket for our end, but some EFC mates got me one for Gladys St on condition I "would get loads of stick when they won". To their credit they never grassed me up, but my celebrations where all in my head for health and safety reasons.
