Not enough custom lately Morriston workies put their prices right down woddy couldn't compete, The Duffryn closed for about a year or more and re-opened as "The Club" (they had some sleepless nights coming up with that name) and has been open as a music venue about 18 months but it needs a few things to keep it ticking over and The Swans is one of them ..They open Thurs Fri Sat aftrnoon through till the night And Sunday all live bands bar for sporting events on sat afternoon.
It's a shame about the woodfield, I would never guessed it would close down, but the dyffryn is a better venue as they got the upstairs as well , is that where the live music is ? Haven't been in the workers for years, to full of old people like dai & PHIL in there for me as a much younger guy to go there
Music is both up stairs and down ..pay on the door bands up and free pub bands down downstairs dont look like the old duffryn it looks like a good music mans venue lots of guitars and stuff on the walls and a lot of muso's drink there . good crowd in there as well 30 + age group
a few of the bands do covers but they do their versions not complete copies mixed with original material..bands like The Daggers , Basking Iguanas, This River ad so on.
