Here we go, the almost weekly weekend thread. What you all up to, bar dodging torrential rain for the rest of the day? Am off to see Rhod Gilbert tonight, will precede this with some food & beer somewhere (recommendations @luvgonzo) Golf tomorrow afternoon after kids swimming and stuff, then it's another (final) junior football festival all day Sunday. Then it'll be Monday.
Got some teeth grindingly annoying school event this evening. No idea about tomorrow. Lots of cricket on Sunday, they're both playing matches, one in the morning, the other in the afternoon. Actually, I suspect I will be asked to take them to the nets on Saturday to prep for Sunday. At least that means I can have a couple of cheeky sherberts at the club.
I can't wait to be old. So I can just get up on a Sunday sit in an armchair, crack open a beer and watch **** on TV, and nag at my wife to go make me food. Right now, my Sundays consist of being dragged out of bed by either the wife, or one of my daughters, because my wife wants help with some ***gy ****ing chore that she has taken upon herself to do. Then I get moaned at because they want to go out somewhere and are bored (my wife included), so I have to drive somewhere gay like a shopping centre or a recreation ground until I want to kill myself
You’ll have to let me know how the Rhod Gilbert gig goes, as I’m seeing him later this summer, front row centre stage seats - ****ing brave Off out for a drive to the coast in a bit, nice sunny day here, will have a mooch and go for nice bite of lunch I reckon.
Working all weekend. Well, I’m working Saturday and then helping my missus with her work on Sunday. We both run small businesses, so when I say work, it’s nowhere near as bad as it sounds. It will be outdoors all weekend, with lots of good food, beer and music. So more of a jolly really.
I still have a pile of brush about 7ft tall and 12ft around I cleared from the woods a few weekends ago that I need to chop up small and feed through the mulcher... I just have a cheap budget electric mulcher so it's going to take me all weekend.
Am now at my daughter's swimming. It's not the place for a pounding head, at all. I expect to sweating buckets very soon.

Working but I may binge something on Netflix if I get time. Still going running though. The eldest is doing her GCSE's so basically all family stuff is on hold until that's over.
Had a couple of beers last night, worked today then just played 9 holes, couple of beers, burgers for tea tonight. Tomoro golf at 9 then a roast dinner. May try an now the lawn after that assuming I don’t drink too much.
Been doing odd jobs today to get the house in order, have driven past Heaton Park a few times and seen some ridiculous looking sights as the crowds gather for Parklife. Mostly ****ing weirdos but also a few honeys with next to nowt on so I can’t really complain. Gotta head back past there soon so hopefully I’ll run a few over as the drunken ejectees stumble across the surrounding roads.
