Dont get me wrong, we are most likely guilty, but every time a team has been handed a transfer ban, the ban has been suspended pending their appeal, this is the first time that the punishment has been upheld whilst the appeal is still pending......not really consistent.
Chelsea have already lost one appeal. You can't keep appealing to various different bodies just to keep the ban suspended.
Every club thats ever been charged with anything from UEFA or FIFA, ever? The punishment is always suspended pending appeal, whether its a fine, a ban from a competition, or a transfer ban. Barca are the most recent example I can think of.
Yes, Barca bought time to sign Suarez by appealing to FIFA and CAS. Normally an appeal to FIFA buys you time but this time they were stricter with Chelsea. Hope CAS appeal gets us a window. Maybe not this time
Did any of them sign players while the ban was suspended? Did they have to give them back when the ban was upheld?
