Lets not get ready for the electric car, it may never happen.........oh yes it has and it the next few years it will happen big time..Although the likes of me and you shouldn't know, Audi has developed the technology for a car to travel 350 miles with a single charge...game changer.......My point is that the government has demanded that Electric cars must be the norm within 10 years........before, the technology was quite vague and not practical, but hey, enforcing the situation has alerted the car manufacturers to move their asses..(the main reason why Ford is closing it's factory in Brigend (nothing to do will Brexit I may add)......the same WOULD apply to sorting out the Irish border which in my eyes in comparison would be much easier!!

He probably won't see my reply onefor - I think he's got me on ignore because he didn't like being questioned a season or so back on other matters more football related. Still that's his choice but the show goes on eh?<ok>

Never saw the point on ignoring other posters on this forum. To me the ignore button is a waste of time and is for wimps who don't like to be questioned. An absolute example of the "head in the sand" attitude that he accuses some of you lot of over Brexit.

I've got nothing against the young man or his right to express his opinions, other than he can be a bit precious when challenged.

I think everyone’s opinion should be respected, whether we agree or not however daft they may seem.. we all gather information from all sources.. good and bad.. it’s how the world evolves..

I think Rob is a very well informed, lucid and intelligent guy, I just don't agree with him and his vision of life but he supports a bloody good football team.

A bit of an over simplification RR.
I voted remain, but support all efforts to leave, as that is what was voted for, so don't tar us all with the same brush.

It's a good analogy. Except that electric cars won't be absolutely necessary in October. A solution to the border will be. So it doesn't really work.

I'm all for researching border technology. I just don't think we should rely on us inventing it flawlessly by Brexit day.

Very kind of you wiz. Despite our many disagreements and the fact that I know I can be a bit of a rude **** at times through petulant frustration, that's much appreciated. And I think the same of you.

Trump is not my cup of tea but I wonder if history will judge him differently to how Corbyn and others see him.
History will show Mr 'Perefect' Obama deported more millions of migrants, dropped more bombs and nearly sent the USA bankrupt.
Compare that with Trump's efforts talking to Putin and the mad North Korean. And who can argue how Trump is leading the upshift in the USA economy.

I think there is already some sort of wall in place there.

I think some was expecting a mass deportation back in 2016 and a wall being erected around the country.

You're right that more don't accept it.
Three years on and some are still in denial, including quite a few politicians, many of whom think if they ignore it, it won't happen.

That is the fundamental problem we have....the majority of parliament including the gobby speaker doesn't want it to happen and are doing their upmost to stop it.
