Are you aware of the beginnings of the Orange Order as a paramilitary force at all?

Monaco, the Orange Order are nowt but a divisive shower of bigots. Anti Catholicism is at the very core of their reason for being. If you are happy with them doing as they please then fair enough.

I have a question, should "pope" have a capital letter at the beginning, for example, should it be "**** the Pope", or, "**** the pope"?

Why have Opus Dei been getting investigated by the SFO for the last x amount of years? Not particularly relevant, just curious.

Not true though. I couldn't give a monkeys about the Catholic Church anyway. What Lodge are you in T? Is it your Lodge that will have to fork out the fine coming the way of the Orange?

  11. The "institution" as I believe they should be called rather than order, started as the "peep o day boys" so called because they slit members of the United Irishmen (mostly Protestants, by the by) in their beds before daybreak.

As for the KKK connection, the Klan modelled itself on the Orange Order and one of it's main founders who became Grand Imperial Wizard said

"In 1927," said the Klan leader. "the Grand Master of the Orange Order asked KKK organizers from the USA to come to Alberta to organize the Klan. John Moloney eventually became the leader of the Canadian Klan and he officially incorporated the KKK in September 1932. That lasted until 1950. When I moved here in 1965, I joined the Odd Fellows Fraternal Order and the Klan as well." After a pause the Imperial Wizard went on: "The Klan was still in existence then, in a very small way. It was viewed as a very Protestant organization here, because the organization in the 1930's, and even before that, got its members from the Orange Order."

The Billy Boys in Glasgow were Orangemen who were members of the BUF (Oswald Moseley's party). When Moseley declared his support for a United Ireland, Billy Fullarton cut all links and, instead, opened Glasgow's first and, thankfully, last KKK office in Bridgeton.

Ah but it is true. Every word of it.

I'm not in any lodge but why I should tell a bitter **** like yourself anything is beyond me.

Ciaran,I am genuinely interested, but I shouldn't think for a minute they will get done though, they are one of the richest institutions in the world.

Jooby funbags, what a waste of a copy and paste. STOP PRESS, the KKK didn't like catholics

  18. No, you suggested that the Orange Order don't "go around killing folk like the KKK"

They used to and the two organisations had VERY distinct links.

As far as I know, the KKK no longer kill people either and simply protest that they wish to have "peaceful demonstrations"

I'm bitter because I don't like an openly sectarian organisation? I don't like the KKK, does that make me racist? How does that work?

As for the Catholic Church, I really don't care about them. I certainly wont defend them on anything.

So i was right about fixing your article?

A pro-protestant organisation that doesn't allow catholics to join? Hardly surprising now is it?
