Oh, and on the 'one point' issue... "It doesn't matter if it's an inch or a mile, winning is winning!" You don't hear Liverpool fans banging on about a one point difference this season
Ahh now I understand, you are not trying to find glory in defeat, you are trying to find glory in mediocrity! Got ya! Carry on.....
Still better to have won the EL than not win the CL though mate Saying that, if Liverpool had lost the final I wouldn't have swapped our season with anyone else's still. It's all about the ride!
You said 'ALL the teams in the EL have a different team in the CL that is better than them' They don't, both Valencia and Napoli qualified for the CL but got knocked out by an EL team, Arsenal.
The people who are satisfied with mediocrity are those who voted that they would prefer winning the EL. They can only even be in the EL by being mediocre in the first place. Aim high!
I give up. If you think the second sentence shows the first is false you are worse at logic than @petersaxton
Wow this **** is still going. Glad to have a far superior season than the spuds and its shows we are a better side, more medals and higher league position
It demonstrates that not all the teams in the EL have a team in the CL that is better than then. Not sure why you can't comprehend this ? Anyway, I do agree with your point that the worst teams in the CL overlap with the best in the EL. i.e. Spurs and Arsenal, with a 1 point difference separating them.
I agree with your second sentence. I would much rather watch Spurs play Real Madrid, Barcelona, Dortmund and Liverpool than beat Clubs like Napoli.
Each of Arsenal, Napoli and Valencia are inferior to at least one team in the CL. Try to Name a team in the EL which doesn’t meet that criteria and you will see where you are going wrong.
I look forward to Arsenal winning the Championship and you trying to make out that that is better than Spus being second in the PL.
