Yeah it was for Jonathan Woodgate's prosthetic leg for when his proper leg eventually just falls off.
I honestly think dogleash will first lose the plot then his job and liverpool will finnish 6th or 7th.
I'm not sure why people seem to think Dalglish will get the sack... can someone explain? Firstly he has helped rejuvenate the club, secondly our new owners don't come across as fickle idiots. They are experienced in turning teams into a winning fomula and are clearly here for the long haul. The obsession with Kenny at Liverpool from other fans is fascinating, I really don't get why everyone is so interested. Perhaps, deep down other fans know that Liverpool are seriously on the up and are a little concerned? If I am wrong, can someone please explain the reason why an obsession with Liverpool and Kenny is extremely apparent? Thanks.
Chelsea are on a different level to Liverpool. Liverpool are resurgent and on the up, Chelsea are over the hill and fading in fast.
With the addition of Mata and Luiz as well as Sturridge starting to look very good Chelsea are a team in transition but are already starting to look a younger team add the fact that the owner will buy if he wants someone will mean that Chelsea are still very much a strong team.
Surprisingly I actually feel Spurs have the best players of the 3, the likes of Bale, Lennon, Van Der Vaart, Adebayor, Modric and Parker would walk straight into either Arsenals or Liverpool's first 11. Spurs may struggle defensively as they always seem to have injury problems there, particularly with there centre backs. I still feel they have the strongest side and I think they will be 4th, with Liverpool 5th and Arsenal 6th
From a Liverpool perspective - Bale = probably agree he could play a part at Liverpool Lennon = Not a chance, one trick pony and very average. VDV = No chance. Had a good part of a season when he joined. Looking past it now and very fragile. Adebayor = No chance. Very good on his day, but probably the most inconsistent striker in any top European side. Modric = Possibly, I dont see where he would fit into our system though to be honest. Good player, highly over-rated and over-priced in my opinion. Parker = Good squad player he would be for us, noting more.
Kenny has spent shed loads of money, so Liverpool owners will expect an instant return to CL football, otherwise, Liverpool will struggle to compete with the new big 4 and Spuds.
I agree with all of that. No idea why people toss over Modric, whenever anyone mentions he'd be usefull at United I cringe, he hasn't got what it takes talent wise or in the head either. He'd wilt. I'd have Parker and I'd have Bale, the rest are gash.
Exactly. Even Modric's stats etc aren't even slightly impressive, 40 million Arry must be ****ing mental. How he thinks Lennon and VDV would walk straight into the Liverpool starting 11 is actually very comical. Taking into account for those two positions we could field Suarez and Gerrard amongst others, his comment is a bit off key to be honest
Skylarker....You are incredibly biased. PFA player of the year Gareth Bale is a far better player than Downing. Arron Lennon is better than Henderson. Modric is a completely different class of player to the likes of Lucas and Charlie Adams, do be serious. VDV is also miles better than Adams and Lucas. Adebayor is a world class striker, Suarez is probably better, but come on Andy Carrol. Adebayor is miles better than him. Parker won the football writers award last season, and gets in the England team, need I go on
Bale I said would play a part. Arron Lennon is absolutely shocking so no way. Hendo will probably make way for Gerrard anyway. Modric hasn't impressed me, but If you read my post I said he possibly would get a place. VDV hasn't done anything of note and is always injured, like I said past his best. Adebayor - world class you serious? He is well known for being inconsistent. Parker - I said would be a useful squad player. I think you're being the biased one somehow Funny how a fan from another team other than Liverpool and Spurs agrees with me, are they biased too?
And to say Suarez is 'probably' better is just an insult. Also why mention Carroll he hasn't been making our starting 11 recently, Kuyt has.
Out of Spurs and Liverpool I'd say the best combined line up would be: ---------------Reina Carragher--Agger--Dawson--Enrique Downing---Gerrard---Modric---Bale -----------Suarez---Adebayor So seven from Liverpool and four from Spurs. I would honestly take Adebayor over Kuyt cos even tho' he's not as consistent I just think he's better. He's also more the type of striker you'll need to get the best out of Suarez, although I guess some Liverpool fans will disagree.
That's a fair point. The thing is though Swarbs, Suarez and Kuyt has struck up an incredible understanding and because they both have a very high work rate the partnership is thriving. Towards the end of last season they were immense together. I think Adebayor would only slow the team up - similar to what happens at the moment when we play Carroll.
