Yeah it's not so much a cardio work out, but you still need good strength and flexibility to haul yourself up those rocks. More of a mental workout really as there's always the fear of falling, so it's a good trust exercise with your mental strength.

Got bastard shin splints on a run last night.

Was on blacktop wearing cross country trainers so lesson learned there, bit of an error.

Not had shin splints since full on squash days.

Anyway, going to get up at six tomorrow and go the gym. Ridiculous to not do this when it's quiet. Will see what happens when the alarm goes off.

Just about deciphered that!! You been on the Chang?!

I don't suffer much anymore, I just think I wore the wrong shoes for the surface I ran on, having been using treadmill for months then randomly went outside yesterday.

Used to suffer badly a few years back though, had to go for shin massage therapy!

Got to work all day tomorrow but might get out for a ride in the evening. It's lovely out there this time of year at last light <ok>

5km run this afternoon. Hard work from the start as I was still feeling the effects of a day on the beer in the sun. Smashed it anyway.

Nope, Map my Run for me.

Got a Garmin Approach x40, which is a golf yardage thing that also maps stuff and counts steps, if I happen to be wearing it.

    Golf watch though predominantly

Bird at work complimented my chest today, bizarrely. Really got me through the morning.

Five weeks til holiday. Reckon I can shift a stone and still get some minimal gains in that time as I’ve started swimming a bit and doing a spin class tonight.

Were you making your pecs bounce around at the time?

I have become a proper fat **** this summer, not going gym anywhere near as much and drinking too much. Probably put on a % or 2 of body fat, will sort it out soon, quite enjoying it atm

Sounds like she’s after a good porking mate, bring her Ferrero Rocher tomorrow and get the deal sealed.

I’ve got about 5lbs to lose for holiday, shouldn’t be an issue. Then pile on about 7 stone on holiday.
