Roughly translated that you do not want the company of Mr van Gerwen for an hour.

    Very wise.

The food is similar to the customers that go in there.

Starting the second week since our promotion and still no contract for our fantastic manager. I'm not buying a S/T until he's got one, even if it means missing the earlybird deadline.

He has been on Holiday. I am hoping that something happens by the end of the week.

I hope it happens before Thursday, when I'm off to Dublin for a short break. There are still some on CL who are optimistic about a takeover, but not many. The reasoning is maybe that if you own a loss-making company you have zero interest in, and you loathe and despise lots of aspects, including the customers, of that company, the logical thing to do is to sell that company if you get a realistic offer. Logical.............yes.

He did not sell on a relegation, we have to hope we are of more interest to a buyer in the Championship. I reckon the Belgian will want more and the dude will up the price.

    Back to square one.

The biggest advantage of the Club being 'for sale' is that RD can use that as the standing excuse for no more longer term investment, ever.
    • No transfer fees for players? makes sense if the Club is for sale.
    • Six month contracts (certainly no more than 1 year) or pay-as-you-play for Igor? makes sense if the Club is for sale.
    • Ongoing budget cuts? makes sense if etc.
    • No CEO? makes....
I'm not saying the whole business of the Aussies and other parties and endless negotiations is all faked. The potential buyers are doubtless acting in good faith. But since RD is the one man who says yes or no in the end, he can move the goalposts as much as he likes and come up with any reason why a take-over from one buyer or another could not be completed.
Why else would he refuse time and again to make public the price he wants?

If RD is not going to say yes until he has got back every penny of what he's spent since 2014, then the Club will never be sold.
And his 'losses' in the meantime are not hurting him much.
As far as he's concerned it is debt owed to him and he will be getting all of it back, or CAFC will eventually be inherited by his family.

Lyle Taylor to be offered an improved contract ....but out of Bowyer’s small summer budget.

The pot of money gets smaller by the day.

Get Lyle to sign longer contract and then sell him at increased price is the Belgian's plan... so the higher wages won't be on our books very long <ok>

Middlesbrough among a number of clubs rumoured to be interested in Lyle Taylor - who is absolutely guaranteed to leave us if more money is offered elsewhere. He made that clear when asked for his view on the KAG transfer ...”it’s a short career” etc.

Why hasn’t Bowyer signed his new contract yet ?

To our owner there is not a player or manager who is not expendable. He has shown this time and again. Anyone who plays well for us, it's just a matter of time.

Most of our *normal* fans on social media seem resigned where Lyle Taylor is concerned.

    I haven’t looked at ITTV.

Yes, we know that not a penny of player sales goes back into the kitty, no matter how much the player is sold for.

Taylor is worth 'insuring' at this point with a better contract offer, even if that simply means another Club has to pay proper money for him.
If he's going then he's going. It can't be helped as long as RD owns the Club.

Roland will probably pocket all the cash if LT does go for £5m or more rather than peanuts (He's worth £10m in my opinion) but Duchatelet will not be able to defend trousering such a huge lump of wad and not pass any of it on to Bowyer - now of all times when LB has restored us to the Championship.

We aren't in the boondocks anymore. Much more media attention will be focused on how the Belgian behaves.
