You only seem capable of criticising the US or the UK. The US President is not above criticism but should be treated to a decent level of respect on an official visit, especially one to honour the dead in past conflicts.

Like the way he respected the UK by abusing the Mayor of our capital city and promoted bonkers Boris for our next PM?

Respect has to be earned, not appointed because of the job he has!

Have you not noticed the abuse the useless London mayor has hurled at a proper politician. Khan should be spending more time trying to reduce the horrendous level of deaths amongst young people due to violence.

I would have thought your fellow posters on here who you seek to wind up and abuse on a daily basis also should have some respect from you?

It could be that everybody else that differed in views to the clique has given up due to the constant insults.

No, it was identified and described as such by other posters that have given up due to the sanctioned aggression by the clique .

“He's an intemperate, bullying, foul-mouthed panderer with no experience of public service, no record of charitable endeavour and no intention of paying his taxes.

    Micheal Gove about Trump.

  11. Goodness SH you can be such a snowflake at times. There is no clique - just you not liking the fact that only one other regular poster on the political thread is pro Brexit. And I haven't seen him ever refer to us as a clique - but then I don't see him constantly belittling his fellow posters either.

  12. Maybe Trump should enter the tory leadership battle - has impeccable credentials according to Gove <ok>

Wonder what the discussion was with the PM?

Nice to meet you Madam - enjoy going back to the back benches next week...

I presume there wasn't any chat about the long term relationship between the UK and US as Mrs May isn't going to be involved for much longer..

And what was the basis for Farage meeting with Trump?
How does that fit with protocol?
And why did Trump refuse to meet with JC??

Just a look at the following list, what do the following countries have in common ? And which chronological order am I using. Some countries appear more than once:
China, Korea, China, Guatemala, Indonesia, Cuba, Guatemala, Belgian Congo, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Peru, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Guatemala, Lebanon, Grenada, Libya, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Iran, Libya, Panama, Iraq, Kuwait, Somalia, Bosnia, Iran, Sudan, Afghanistan, Serbia, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria.
Quite an impressive list - the chronology of bombing by the US military since 1945. There are, of course, others which are not on the list - those that have been infiltrated by the CIA, or suffered US military incursions (without the bombing in advance), or countries which have had coups sponsored from Washington. Not surprising then that, according to international surveys the USA is seen, Worldwide, as the biggest threat to World peace - even according to surveys in Australia. Only Britain, the USA, Canada and Israel place Iran higher on the list, India places Pakistan in poll position, and South Korea gives that honour to North Korea. Everywhere else the USA tops the list. Some countries have seen that the only way to absolutely rule out ever coming on this list is to have nuclear weapons - an entirely realistic decision.

Do we really want closer relations to a country which feels it has a missionary, God given, duty to try to form the World according to its own image, and which assumes the right to interfere anywhere on this planet ? Britain has always stood against bullies in the past, and it is time to remember that now !

Well put... We must retain our own position re foreign policy. I am aghast at US policy re Israel which goes completely against UN agreements. Bit hard to complain against the annexation of the Crimea or homelands on the borders of China when we are silently condoning the annexation of land belonging to Palestinians..
