Well, according to the BBC we can look forward to a festival of women's football in the coming weeks. Holders England, led by manager Gary Neville, look to retain the cup. Anyone going to bother watching?
Don't be silly. The African Cup of Nations should be worth a watch, though. Probably a riot or two, unfortunately.
One of the lads at work is going to France, and is planning to go watch some games. Massive bumber, think he regretted telling us.
You alright Ern? Since when was Gary Neville the womens England manager?! And I am also sure the yanks won it last time around......
I can't get excited about women's football. More power to them, I'm glad they have a tournament of their own and TV is trying to promote it, but it's not really at the level of men's football. It's like watching Indycar instead of F1... Yeah, some of the events might be more exciting but at the end it's just not the same pinnacle of the sport. That said, sure I'll watch if England makes the final.
Looking forward to it Womens football has improved alot...id say they are probably about a level up from League 1 standards nowadays
Pull the other one, 2 years ago Australia, one of the top ten teams in women's football (ranked 5th at the time), were beaten 7-0 by under an under 15's schoolboy side.
Load of bollocks that...I'd smash an under 15's team with some of my old boys with a couple of weeks to get up to speed...easy.
