I did a job relocating a German scientist last week, his expertise is studying satellite data for aerospace, he has worked for Mercedes and Rolls Royce (jet engine side) Super intelligent guy and one of the more interesting ones I’ve sat and chatted in my van with on a 2 hour drive. The subject got onto Brexit and he was telling me that both himself and many of his colleagues in Germany hope we go through with Brexit and make it work, he said he admires the UK for saying enough is enough. Germans (he was saying) are also sick of the high taxes they pay to prop up immigration, they want their own government to wake up to what is happening and the feeling that the stronger European nations (citizens) have towards immigration. He said they’re having a massive problem with Syrians coming in and non working Romanians, they’re disrespectful to the homes they’re given and the German government is delusional for believing they can be integrated into society. He also said if we walked away with a no deal stance the predictions of how German business would suffer are off the scale, they need to export to the UK to survive, he said the German population are amazed our government have allowed themselves to be backed into a corner when we have the better hand (import/export) and can’t see it.
