A final thought. We didn't deserve anything and Liverpool did, with the help of charity,of course!

The curtain comes down.....and we think.....will we screw up again next season?

Moura had to start after scoring a hat-trick against Ajax. Wanyama should have been on for Winks. Llorente should have been on instead of Delle Alli. As soon as I saw the line-up I knew the outcome.

    Agree.
Strangely, I don’t feel gutted. I never felt confident prior to the game.

What’s frustrating is seeing a CL final that was so crap. We could have actually won that. As it unfolded, Liverpool were there for the taking. But we didn’t turn up either. Such an odd game, and such an anti climax after both of those semi finals.

If Poch doesn't learn from his mistakes, then yes. Also, it depends on who we buy. Now the final's over phone calls need to be made. Not wait until the day before the new campaign starts.

    Poor game.
They were poor. Time wasting from 15 minutes in.
We were worse. Lots of possession but fluffed our lines again.
Great to get there, but too many didn't show up tonight. As per..
Fair fecks to Rose, Winks and Sissoko. :emoticon-0148-yes:Brighter 2nd half and a few chances but didn't make the most of them.

I don't want to see Trippier anywhere near a Spurs team ever again. He's not been fit for purpose for months and let us down again.

No big complaints over penalty. Totally Accidental but understand why given.

Lots of dosh in the kitty. Needs to be spent..... Wisely.

Unlucky boys. Kane really shouldnt have started and stayed on.

Unfortunately a rather soft penalty given but you had the much better of the game especially 2nd half but it just wasnt happening.

Agree about Kane, Bobby, he contributed next to nothing and was way off the pace.

We couldn’t take one of our chances, not for the first time, they took one of the few they had and that was the difference.

I’m not including the penalty, which was a joke.

Perhaps it’s not the time to start the post-mortem but there’s a few players out there on borrowed time. Yes Dele, I’m looking at you! :emoticon-0126-nerd:

A few players this season have been resting on their laurels, WC fatigue or not.

A big shout out to Rose this season.
From the WC to now, he really has laid his summer 2017 gobsh*tery to rest.

We now need to take a leaf out of Liverpool’s book, and have a summer like they did last year.
Defeated in the CL final, strengthened the squad brilliantly where they needed to, and came back this season with a bang.

It’s the only option for us this summer. We’re flat, out of ideas, and in need of fresh blood. As you say, some are on borrowed time now, too.

Him, Winksy and Sissoko were the best of a bad bunch.

Our best players this season, especially the latter half were the likes of Rose, Sissoko, Moura and even Nando.

Our usually reliable players like Eriksen, Dele, Kane and Son faded or got injured just when we needed them. And it cost us dear.

Chin up lads, it’s been a cracking journey getting to the CL final, even if the game itself was total garbage.

Massive stadium delay, tonnes of injuries and no signings in 18 months! But still we managed to secure top 4 and get to the final of the biggest club competition in world football.

Now to learn from this season, make changes where necessary and come back stronger!
