100% agree with what Alonso said, he gets a very raw deal from the British media who cast his as a bad guy any chance they get. There is so much BS associated with Alonso such as he has to be the number one driver and the British media are almost totally responsible for creating this kind of crap.
I still remember the interview he did where he was complaining about Lewis being treated equally and how it wasn't fair as he'd bought 1/2 second to McLaren. Lost respect for him there and then, then spy-gate happened, fingers were pointed at Alonso, and I think they were pointed in the correct direction as less than 2 years later he'd signed for Ferrari.
no, my memory generally serves me well enough, it was on the TV either during qualifying or on race day (back in 2007). It was just before the spygate broke. I remember it because up until that point I really liked him.
I find it hard to believe that Alonso was complaining that Hamilton was getting equal treatment, he has always said that he never asks or demands preferential treatment, he justs wants equal treatment, which was the problem in 2007.
With blatant antics like brake testing Coulthard, blocking Lewis in the pits, having your team mate crash to give you the win, and being the beneficiary of illegal team orders I don't think Alonso has done himself any favours with the British press. In a similar manor Hamiltons on track incidents have probably been used in the same way in Brazillian, Italian and Spanish media circles. If you don't want to get a bad reputation don't do bad things.
